Default Enkei PF01 18x9 Questions

I found a set of PF01s in 18x9 +45 locally. Planning to run 265/35/18 all around. I searched and found that most have gone with the 9.5" wheel in the same offset.

Will I regret narrower wheels in the rear even with wider, stickier rubber?
Has anyone fitted this setup?

Any help would be appreciated.

If you're getting these wheels for performance reasons, you may regret it.. If you decide you want more tire later on, a 275 will fit on the 9" wheels, but it may not perform as well as it would on a wider wheel.

Aesthetically speaking, they'll be tucked into the fenders by another 1/4" compared to the 9.5" wheels. So, if you desire a more flush appearance, you might want to hold out for 9.5" wheels or something with a more aggressive offset (like a +40, or +38).

Also depends on price... but agree with above. If you want to track it may be worth the wider rim. You won’t be able to run wider than 275 without fender mods, so that matters as well depending on your goal. FYI I have 9 inch wide et 40s with 275/30 square and my car handles well in my opinion. Granted I’m on 19s and have less sidewall.

Thanks guys. They are for performance so maybe I'll hold out for 9.5" wheels. Do you think they would clear the front brakes though? They are pretty cheap, in good shape about about half of what a new set would cost. I don't want to do any fender mods to the car.

I would think they would clear, but you may want to test fit one.

id buy them if they are half price. That’s just me though. I dont like the flush look and I don’t think a half inch makes a big difference, but then again I don’t have track experience and I probably couldn’t tell the difference anyway.

edit: I don’t have road course experience and doubt that i would be able to tell the difference.
