I looked around a bit but had no luck finding a prior thread. When it is warm outside, I am getting a rattle above the center AC vents. Has anyone else had this issue? If so, has anyone had luck with an easy fix or do I just need to get some plastic tools and pull the dash apart?

Nope. Bumps and such. I can stop it by pushing down right above the vents.

This happened to my car one time while driving down a bumpy freeway. Weird thing is, I pressed down really hard right above the vent and it went away. It has never come back since...knock on wood....

Interesting. I thin I have the same issue. 2012 and I think I hear it from between the top of the nav enclosure and the vents above.

Can confirm a stiff finger on top of the vents pushing down quiets the rattle. Only lasts for a while and hasnt driven me completely mad yet.

Most inconvenient. I have an 08 with no rattle yet (knock on wood). I avoid touching the dash because of reports it deteriorates like the one in an '80's hilux.

Hmmm... i just picked up some new duct tape yesterday...

I have this issue in my 2012 also. More so a creak. Only happens on warm/hot days. So annoying. It's the vent themselves
