Because, I saved wayyy more money buying these used than new. $400-500 ea with taxes and tires. Sheesh. Take that with a grain of salt.

You need to post a full body pick because I really cant tell how it actually sits. but I agree don't know what homeboy is talking about 18x9.5 38 is not bad at all.

I think the 38 offset is a little to low, I prefer the wheels completely under the car, but that’s just my opinion. It is definitely not to high of an offset. Your savior is running baby tires.

Again, not lowered yet Camber is at -0.5° no adjustments yet. I'll get my pictures up when I get the chance to adjust the height. Stay tuned. I'll slide one threw after work haha.

Didn't mean to hurt anyone's feelings. For our 3700+ pound cars, with more than a few with greater than stock horsepower, I tend to think the more tire the better, within reason, of course. With all the other comments in this thread about the massaging necessary for similar set-ups, some not as aggressive as the OP's, it did not strike me as an optimized set-up. Others disagree and I have no problem with that. If it works for the OP, that is all that matters.

No that makes complete sense, it needs more tire 275 at least. I'm saying is that I got them like this, If I were to choose I def get a 275 tire. This thread was more for the purpose of people curious of fitment of a 18x9.5" tire on my car. Ex for this was 255, I still run plenty of run to go more. Currently I'm learning the car with a square setup, its muchhh more direct imo than 255/225 for sure. Anyways, heres updated picture the car. I put the 255/40/18R Yokohama AD08R them.

Car looks great! Can’t say I agree that 255 isn’t enough tire, especially those sticky tires you have. It’s not like your stretching a 215 on. Sure a 275 will have a bigger contact patch but unless you’re tracking the car often or drag racing I don’t think your gonna see much of a benefit, plus your just adding unsprung weight. Rock what ya got, the difference is going to be minimal if you really sat down and directly compared the two.

I have not tried 275/35, and only my tears are rolled from a previous setup. I used to run 245/35 with a 19x9.5+35 in front/275/30 with 19x10.5+35 in rear. It rubbed all over(at the height I wanted) and I’m happier with this setup. I went with a 255/40 to both save some weight and keep a comfier sidewall, albeit the % may be around the same. I think OP’s setup will work great if he plans on lowering it. His suspension is firmer and should allow him to go easily lower than mine with no rubbing issues and be further under the car than mine. Also, interestingly enough I’ve read quite a few articles lately where wider tires don’t always equal better laptimes. but either way I think 255 is plenty for the front and is already an upgrade from stock. Personally of the 45k I’ve put on mine only 5 miles or so have been on actual tracks.

I run a 275 square setup. I drag race and have traction issues. If I had 255s I probably would be slower than my is350 with the same tires. I need 275 drag radials before I can preload the car (brake boost).

Well yeah, I would not recommend 255's for the rear at all lol. I run 275/35 in the back. Square would have been nice to be able to rotate but with my height/offsets I wanted to avoid rubbing if I could. I just cross-mount them after half life or so.

Recently got 18x9.5 +40 TE37SLs, do you think 265/40/18 squared will fit or will it rub at stock height?
