SA10R Wedsport 18x9.5" - Fitment & Test
Hi Guys,
Decided to go out on some Wedsports 18x9.5" 255/35/R18. Got them for a good price!
Some asked for fitment, and see if I need any fender mods. As you can see I don't really, but because of one reason.
I'm running 255/35/R18, but I am supposed to be running a 255/40/R18 to match the 26" diameter. I got them with the tires was a deal :P.
I can fix it, by going 255/40/R18, this will reduce the enormous wheel gap you see.
Anyways if anyone wants to buy these tires off me, see me at the market place

The rears may need some work. They protrude a decent amount. This makes me think a 275/35 setup I was considering is too aggressive as well.

I run 18x9.5 +38 all around, but with 255/40 and 275/35 tires. You just need a mild drop on springs/coilovers and it will naturally camber in. Looks fantastic man. My previous setups was SA15R in BLC with the blue trim and black chrome finish, looked fantastic. I saw the red and yellow options in wed's IG pics, but you're the first I've seen with them on. Looks great! Here's a pic of my current 18x9.5+38 setup as mentioned above. More on my IG, @russiancarguy Edit, really sorry for the gigantic pic!

Looks good from what I can see but can you take some pics from far away, with front and rear wheels in the same pic?

I'm running 18x10 ET40 with 285/35/18 (to keep that stock OD and also, width )
You'll have to roll the front fenders / cut out the plastic most near the edge of the fender.
For the rear definitely a roll and possible grinding down some threaded studs that hold the fender felt in, as well as the quarter panel itself where it meets the rear bumper.
Cheers on running an epic square setup.

I'm surprised you've had to do so much modification on 18" and ET40 even with 285s...are you lowered a lot compared to stock ride height?

I'm actually ET42 I forgot. But yeah I'll let you be the judge if I'm low or not haha. The front is where it's at because the top of the tire kept hitting the top of the wheel well (no fender liner up there) and I was getting over it otherwise it would be .5 - .75 inches lower
10 ET45 is most likely not possible in the front unless you want the tire hitting the Control Arm, I'm 1-2mm away from it right now at ET42

If you are referring to mine, a 18x9.5 +38 is not a bad offset at ALL... My car is going to be height adjusted will look exactly like the fellow member who posted. Just because I am not "Hella flush" doesn't want to roll my fenders.. Sure. yes wheel gap is horrid, but you didn't even read through that it will be fixed. Oh and yes indeed cheap. Because, I saved wayyy more money buying these used than new. $400-500 ea with taxes and tires. Sheesh. Take that with a grain of salt.
