121. 5W30 Castrol Edge w/Syntec, API SN synthetic (formerly Castrol Syntec), (black bottle) = 85,179 psi

Not a bad oil, but not a great oil either. There are equally cost effective choices with much greater load capacity.

Great I just bought 2 5 quart jugs of Mobil 1 synthetic non-extended. Now I'm rethinking my decision.

Your fine. IMO I wouldn't run extended to run extended miles, just change it at the normal intervals and you'll be golden.

To date I've been using Mobil1 Synthetic with OEM filter. But I can get a deal on some Motul, so contemplating switching over. I've used Motul in some of my past cars and was happy with it.

I've used Amsoil Signature Series on my last 2 oil changes and love the engine sleekness feeling throughout the life cycle of the oil (1yr/9k miles interval without track sessions). I only felt that silky smoothness with Mobil1 Syn at most the first thousand miles and it wore off after that.

I did get Blackstone's analysis too but it's a topic for another day.

I usually prefer M1 and Royal purple, but been using Pennzoil platinum because I'm getting a a hell of a deal on oil changes.

I cringe when I see all these comments saying they use royal purple especially with the lab reports I seen with people using it. I’m using AMSOIL in all my vehicles including my GSXR 750.

Mobil 1 EP gave me the worst wear numbers I have ever seen from a synthetic. I only ran it once. Lots more in these threads:

Finally, 540RAT's blog has a massive amount of useful information. I don't agree with him on everything, but I do agree with his oil load rankings and I agree an oil capable of supporting a higher load will provide more reliable protection than one only capable of supporting a lesser load.

What grade does Nissan spec for the GTR? Turbo engines are brutal on oil.
