To date I've been using Mobil1 Synthetic with OEM filter. But I can get a deal on some Motul, so contemplating switching over. I've used Motul in some of my past cars and was happy with it.

I've used Amsoil Signature Series on my last 2 oil changes and love the engine sleekness feeling throughout the life cycle of the oil (1yr/9k miles interval without track sessions). I only felt that silky smoothness with Mobil1 Syn at most the first thousand miles and it wore off after that.
I did get Blackstone's analysis too but it's a topic for another day.

I cringe when I see all these comments saying they use royal purple especially with the lab reports I seen with people using it. I’m using AMSOIL in all my vehicles including my GSXR 750.

Formerly Mobil1 5w-30. Now 5W30 Renewable Lubricants, Bio-SynXtra, Super High Performance. It tests out almost as good as Amsoil Signature Series, better than Mobil 1 of any flavor, and is best at controlling fuel dilution which is a huge problem for the OEM tune on our engines. Mobil 1 EP gave me the worst wear numbers I have ever seen from a synthetic. I only ran it once. Lots more in these threads:

Finally, 540RAT's blog has a massive amount of useful information. I don't agree with him on everything, but I do agree with his oil load rankings and I agree an oil capable of supporting a higher load will provide more reliable protection than one only capable of supporting a lesser load.
