Default TPMS Mounting Solutions

Hi All,

Has anyone had luck with TPMS adapters/bracket? Have they come dislodged or have you run into issues with the PSI not being read ? I've been searching for a solution for my wheels and would like to go with solution 1 from my research. Just hoping to hear some feed back.

Will be mounting the adapters to BBS LMs

#1

PIAA TPMS Vale Stem Mounting Bracket - CNC Aluminium https://www.upgrademotoring.com/whee...s_mounting.htm

WP626 26mm
WP640 40mm
WP659 59mm

#2

Drill holes additional holes into wheels to accommodate TPMS - Leaning against this option.

#3

Put all four TPMS in spare tire and call it a day

#4

Build a sealed canister and fill to the required PSI - https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...pipe-bomb.html

I've been using the TPMS L Loop Adapters. Haven't had any problems reading PSI. Will also depend on which wheels you have to like the above mentioned post.

I'm trying to find a solution for mounting my BBS LM's - I can't recall the diameter of the BBS valve stem, but I want to say they are 8mm.. or 10mm

I just got the adapters described in solution 1. I'll be putting them on next week. Will let you know how well it works.

What sensors are you using? I have OEM TPMS mounted on my 19" BBS LMs without any issues.

I will be using OEM sensors - still need to order them. Do you have part number for the OEM sensors that you used or did you just pull the ones from the stock wheels ?

My understanding is that BBS LM valves are 8mm and Lexus TPMS are 11.3mm

I don't recall but, i didn't pull the OEM ones...just bought new. Why not just have a tire shop (sorry, not familiar with the Canadian ones) order it for you and install. If they screw up the measurement, its on them since they are supposed to be the experts.
