Default Fuel pump options

Hello,

i just wanted to inform everyone about the options we have as far as fuel pumps. I installed the one RR racing suggested which is the one that install on the supercharged ISFs. All I can say is what a disappointment. I’ve purchased deatchwerk fuel pumps before and never had issues but this one in particular is not working for me. I removed the deatchwerks fuel pump 5 times already quadruple checking everything which is really only 3 things lol not much to miss. Go figure throw the stock one back in and starts right up. The difference between the stock one and the DW fuel pump is the DW one has ribs on the part that slides into the filter. I found a AEM that is identical and the same exact size of the oem fuel pump. AEM fuel pump Part # 50-1220.

Idk why none of my pics won’t upload 😒
If anyone wants pics I have some can’t figure out how to upload mine even though I click on them it says it uploaded but I see no pics anywhere. Regardless the measurements on AEMs website for the 320lph fuel pump is exactly the same for our OEM pump. Which happens to also be E-85 compatible and will be a direct drop.

Why bother with an AEM if it can’t move more fuel than stock?

Hes saying the 320lph is the same size as stock and will move more fuel than stock.

Not sure but if RR racing includes a 340lph fuel pump with their supercharger kit then I’m assuming well below that then. I’m going to assume less then 255lph

i do do not know the exact capacity of stock pump, but it’s a very good pump. We recommend changing pumps and in-tank filters on higher mileage F’s looking to SC. The in tank pump doesn’t work that hard though, because the 2 DI pumps on the engine draw a lot of fuel.

On cars are running over 570whp on E85 blends we install a surge tank with Walbro 450 pump.

the problem referenced in the original post was that the wrong p/n pump was sent to him in error.

Couldn’t agree more with Rafi on this one even if you just have FBO I would change out those filters. Mine at 103k miles was nasty! I’m assuming the previous owner used cleaning agents in the gas tank. Worst stuff you could ever put in your car (fuel system cleaners) I had black tar kind of stuff caked on to my filter and everything was super dirty. Yes deatchwerks did a great job screwing up the order and as usual RR racing taking care of me regardless. Thanks 👍.

How easy is it to change out the in-tank filters? Is this a maintenance item that should be done regardless of mods on the car?

Just curious........

I would say it’s easy just make sure you start on a near empty tank of gas. Both of my filters were absolutely terribly dirty at only 103k miles. Filter was literally pure black with some stuff caked around the filter. I went the extra mile and had a brand new rag and cleaned are far as I could reach with my hand and picked up a bunch of little black and metal pieces in my gas tank.
