IS-F to a C7 corvette

Honestly, no one in their right mind would choose an 02 Corvette over an '11/'12+ ISF.... totally different machines and much more refined/luxurious. You should try driving an ISF/RCF....you'll quickly see the F cars are capable of blowing the doors off the C5. Everyone in the thread is stuggling choosing between the F and a C7 Vette...and the C5 isn't anywhere close to the car of the C7.
Also, the F cars (all 3) have more usable space (and front leg room) than the Corvette.

Regarding speed, the stock 2002 C5 Z06 went from 0-60 in 3.9-4.0 seconds. According to Motor Trend in September of 2014, the best they could do was 4.3.

First of all I doubt I could get any decent IS for the $16500 I paid for my C5 from the original owner. I sat in an IS before the V8 was available, and at that time it was cramped for ME. Dimension statistics mean nothing when one sits in a car and is not comfortable, and among the Corvette community it is well accepted that the C5 has the most generous interior and tho’ not as refined as a C7, it’s still extremely comfortable.

But don't magazine drive from 16 years ago from professional drivers. Go out and test your 0-60 times and come back and report your results. We have a few FBO ISFs with 3.8 to 3.9 0-60's (if that's all you're comparing). And I've personally spanked a few C5 Z06's, one being a manual with FBO's, on a highway pull 60 to approx 120ish. I was intake and exhaust only as the time. I pulled on him about a full car length. Close race thiugh, I will say, a win is a win. I got the thumbs up from him afterwards and the "can't believe what just happened" face from him too. F cars are highway beast.
Get out and drive an F.... reading about it and watching videos does it/you no justice.

I've owned an 01 C5 and currently own an 08 ISF, had plenty of cars in between and cross shopped Z06's in the past. The C5 is my favorite looking generation, though I prefer the glass top coupe, not the Z06 or hardtop designs. The interior however is trash, absolutely cheap and when I sold my C5 for a 92 Miata the Miata had less creaks. Hard plastic everywhere, awkward seating position, and just easy to see it's a late 90's GM car. Comparing 0-60 times for a track aimed Z06 to a sports sedan with similar power levels is a bit silly, a C6 would be a better comparison, but, as mentioned, both can be matched or even beaten by an ISF with mods. Quarter mile times are a better comparison tool anyways, and all cars are at 12.2-12.8 range.
That being said, I too thought the ISF was small, especially coming from a bigger G37. But it's grown on me and is actually pretty well spaced out, though the rear seats are better for <12 year olds or pets only. Daily driving and mild sporty driving, there is no question the ISF offers way more bang for somewhat similar bucks. It should, it's an entire generation ahead. But now the C7 is a whole generation ahead of the ISF, and that's why it's more than comparable and should easily be the choice.

I feel the C5s are overpriced. The C6 should be had for 16.5. Its downright ancient these days (pop up headlights and all). The C6 is a big leap forward, it has SOME creature comforts and an interior that wont make you throw up after opening the door. And the 400+ engine is equal to the Z06 prior.
Its a moot point tho as I dont have space for a C6.
