I read they howl really bad, makes the drive on normal streets loud. Is that accurate?

Yes. Sat in a friend's M3 equipped with R888 and they are crazy loud, especially at low speed (since your wind noise won't mask the tire noise).

i was going to try the R888R and decided to just use a mickey Thompson et street for that reason. Plus the MT will be better for drag racing. I like listening to exhaust, not tires.

Also just noticed bud - those RB 2-piece rotors could *really* use some new rings. I picked up a used set myself, and confirmed with RB that once those venting vanes wear "flush", it's time to replace the rings.

Mine were vibrating so badly, it was time either way... so swapped in fresh rings a week ago today, and boy what a difference!

Tyre related question here.

With the track you frequent does it have a distinctive nature left vs right hand turns?

I ask that question because if it's say clockwise and it's a more rights than lefts have you ever thought of dialling up more camber in the left front or vice a versa if I told were the other way described from the above.

As those tyres are taking absolute punishment on that outside edge from those pics.

I know there alot more money but have you ever thought of giving some Michelin Cup Tyres a go I'm pretty sure they'd be a little better than those Toyos.

Ive run them before but plan on going back next season. Im also switching out to lighter 18 inch wheels by 5lbs and Sport Cups which weigh 1 lb less per tire too! 285/30/18

re too.

Looks like you track your car pretty hard, any wheel forged or non forged can crack, still forging process provide better benefits of being lighter, stronger, longevity.

To the individual that said wheels are considered consumables probably if you track the car this hard, but for a street vehicle I could easily see quality wheels lasting the life of the vehicle if not more granted they dont hit those bad pot holes, kiss the curb, or any other damage cause by the user.

How do the R888ś hold up to heat? I ran Falken FK510s this year and they just heated up and got greasy after about 3 minutes of hard driving.

R888s are in a different galaxy compared to FK510s. FK510s aren't even that great of a high performance street tire, R888s are basically (lightly) treaded slicks. Given the same heat input that made your FK510s greasy, R888s wouldn't even be at optimum temperature for maximum grip.
