Default Exhaust set up:

I currently have a 08 is f and am looking to add a bit of sound without getting a completely new exhaust and spending a ton of money. As of now my idea is to buy replacement mufflers and weld them into place. i’m hoping to add some sound, but keep the cats... Is there anyone who’s done this, and what mufflers you might recommend, or if there are any other cheap mods i could do im open to suggestions..

Remove the two bolts that hold the mid pipe and axel back together, pull the axel back towards the back of the car to create space between the two, and there you have a cheap mod with a bit of sound.

Search around a bit. You will find that there are a lot of owners who do the muffler delete. YouTube has lots of clips to listen to.

Here's mine with axleback custom pipe with magnaflows. Without the headers it was much quieter and I think since the video the packing has broken in and it's a bit louder than this even.

When I did the muffler delete With stock exhaust, I think it sounded friggn great
