OK just bought and it was delivered from Taiwan in 4 days. crazy. anyways going to install today. looks great. saw the diy install video, seems easy enough.
I've had a couple of them and loved both. My preference is the carbon on the bottom only since it isn't as comfortable as alcantara or leather when holding the top portion. But to answer your question they are worth every penny.
Gorgeous interior mods in these photos. Inspiring me to do some similar mods.
Yeah i got one as well, Elvin supplied. Not a cheap mod espeically once converted to $AU where im based but its one of things that whilst i cant say its value for money, i dont care. Its awesome to drive with.
Looks and feels great and really makes the OEM wheel feel anorexic in comparison. Everyone likes different materials but Lexus should have atleast at some point made the IS wheels this thickness.
It was a hot day yesterday and i have to admit, the carbon was hot to touch but 95% my car is parked under cover so not a big deal for me.

Heres a few pics:
It looks really nice!
Are you running the Vaistech or Grom (or something else) for your touch screen?
They do make the car look high end. Since it’s one of the only mods you actually see inside the car, it would be worthwhile if you wanted one.
My favorite mod used to always be short shifters. It changed the driving experience totally, even if it didn’t make the car faster. It felt more like a high end race car.
Still one of my favorite mods, very worth it imo. I also like the flat bottom carbon and the rest Alcantara/leather. I personally got alcantara because I plan to reupholstered the arm rest and door panels in alcantar plus it feels so nice just make sure to wash your hands

My only concern with Alcantara is durability. I've seen some older Alcantara wrapped steering wheels that look like crap after about 5 years...
I had the same concern. I asked a vendor how much to have it re-wrapped and I believe I was quoted about $150. Mind you my alcantara wheel is still mint after about 6 months of daily use.

yeah ofcourse you have to take care of it and there’s ways to clean it and keep it nice but like Maiz said it can be re-upholstered if all else fails. Also I have had mine about 6 months (daily driven) and still looks new
