Gutting Mufflers, good idea?

The drone is not bad, I replaced my mufflers with straight pipes (got rid of the restrictive flat y section). I love it.
Have them cut off and save them to be put back on if you don't like it. The muffler delete w/ straight pipe should cost next to nothing.
