No real significance that it's #3 in Nor Cal other than I was suppose to get #1. #1 was a Neiman Marcus edition (passed on that one). #2 the dealer drilled the front bumper for the license plate so I ended up with #3.

Shame it hasn’t been put to use for most of its life. It’s just sat there and depreciated. I don’t really think these will ever be collectors personally aside from the extremely rare bird who gets a woody when they see a low mileage car.
Like already mentioned it wasn’t until 2011 that Lexus finally dialed in a proper competitor and by that time the car was old news.
Not sure an early model year of any mileage will fetch second gen pricing due to the desire for the updated features.

I’m surprised more people aren’t appreciating the low mileage. I think it is special since it was the first year Lexus made the F brand and you have one of the first ones in the US (since I am assuming they landed in Cali first). I would just throw it on EBay or Bring a Trailer with a reserve that you want. Go for it and maybe you’ll get lucky

Probably because it’s too low of mileage. That and these are 400k cars, so really the difference between 2000 miles and 40000 miles is negligible on this specific car. It’s not the mileage that kills the value, it’s the year. The majority of ISFs in America are 2008s. The rare ones are 12-14. You can buy a low mileage 14 for the same price or less than he wants. I saw a low mileage one owner 2014 for 45 when I was shopping last summer. I bought a low mileage one owner, all service records 2013 for 39.
its still a great, it’s just not worth that amount of money. I honestly think 35 is a good price for it. People spending that amount on an F want an LSD and newer model.

Gonna get hate for this, but the 08’s were a fail upon release. They got burned by the competition due to the necessary changes made to the second gen models.
Thus the impact of early model years wasn’t anything collectors are gonna be bringing up at the Mecum auctions in 20 years lol.
Like mentioned the late MY Is actually considered rare and I true performer on the super sedan market of that era. Unfortunately again, only a Lexus fan will know this because the first release did nothing ground breaking.
Its greatest feat is that it will out run them all in longevity, which means miles don’t mean **** if it’s been taken proper care of. I was shopping E92M’s or this and had two different mileage settings cause no way in hell I was willing to daily a high mileage M. And I’d rate my mechanical skills at a 9/10, I just done tune my own cars so deducted a point, I just prefer to spend on mods rather than maintenance/repair parts :P
