Default How much hp gain with only headers and tune (keep stock exhaust)

How much horse power gain am I looking at with just Ppe headers and tune but keeping stock exhaust intact?

Trying to keep my cost as low as possible. What's the best mod to gain most hp?

Between 20-40 hp with tune . Tuning a natural aspirated v8 won’t gain much without all the other bolt ons but depends what your after .

As stated above, a tune would be very beneficial. The catbacks won't make nearly as much as headers will. Personally I'd recommend getting our performance package with the PPE headers, tuner, and our big MAF intake. You'll be upwards of 50+whp gain.

My favorite part about the IS F is its dual personalities. Does adding the RRR intake mean the car no longer has the "secondary intake opening" that occurs at around 3400 RPM?

That is correct. It does remove the stock air box. You can always do our carbon elbow with a drop in filter for decent gains and still utilize the stock air box. The carbon obviously has less heat soak over plastic.

The Takeda intake, a full intake system that replaces half the stock intake box, also utilizes the stock secondary intake flap.

I dynoed stock at 358whp / 335wtq. After PPE headers, RR tuned intake, RR tune and custom midpipe with exhaust valves on the same dyno I did 427whp/401wtq

When you mention exhaust valves are you talking about the PPE dual mode exhaust or an exhaust cutout of some sort on the midpipe?

A cheap x force exhaust, gutted primary cats, and rr racing tune can get you to 400+ whp...that’s probably the cheapest way to bump up your horse power to a respectable number.

Here’s a dyno vid of a ISF with a custom exhaust and those exact mods I mentioned above.

My baseline dyno was 370hp/342tq and after adding the Tuned Intake, PPE headers and Hayward & Scott header back exhaust I only made 402hp/368tq. Seems kinda low for the results I was expecting and the money I spent. Could be wrong...

Slightly on the low side but look at the temps. It was 90degrees and I'm sure the humidity effected it.

I live in Indiana. It’s always humid. We run .4 seconds slower than coastal guys. That temp definitely affected the results.

What humidity?

Below 50% humidity is considered optimal....I see 39% and 41%. That's a far, far cry from high humidity.
