Default RR Racing R&T Coilovers or Kw V3?

I知 trying to decide which coilover would be best for my daily driver. I知 more concerned with ride comfort than I am about handling capabilities. Does anyone know which setup would be better. I know the RR coilovers use Afco shocks which seem to be a decent product.

I致e had the RR racing coils on for about 6 months, the ride quality is amazing with a decent drop don稚 go to extreme ...they are a little noisy but so worth the handling characteristics way different than The BC coilovers that where on previously. What I noticed with the RR coils is the top mounts articulate. My bc didn稚 and the factory stocks didn稚 as well and to me that seems to make all the difference when you hit a pot hole on the passenger side the hit doesn稚 transfer to the drivers side the passenger side absorbs it all. Email Raif I知 sure he値l explain the benefits better.

I believe " noisy" is purely subjective to you and your road conditions where you live.

Imma have to to KW X GREDDY, or KW V3s for comfort. RR gave me too much of a hard time to like there products again ( although I still have some of them )

I have had RR R&T coils on my car for about a year now. They are awesome on the track and really allowed more confidence in the corners leading to much lower lap times. But frankly offer ZERO improvement on the street. Granted I have an 08 which was harsh to begin with but still is with the new RR coils. 16/12 spring rates and lowered about 1.5 - 2." Softening the dampening didn't help either. I daily it year round in all 4 Ohio seasons about 15k / year too. I also agree with the noise (a little rattling due to the metal top hats, but it is completely normal and doesn't bother me).

Personally, I would not be enthused about the lock ring design on the KW. Seems to be problematic for more than a few people, and using a set screw instead of a two ring friction lock really isn't all that great for the threads on the shock body. JMHO.

Yes, because it retains the factory top hats.

Can you please elaborate on how they gave you a hard time.

I'm looking on new coilovers as well.
I'm looking the R&T but this comment really made me think as I have a 2008 as well. I'm looking for comfort mostly.
My thought is that RR having researched our suspension would have the better feel.
Does anyone have the R&T for daily driving?

FYI, Its very easy and inexpensive to simply swap to softer springs on out R&T Coil overs.

BTW, for reference, our standard recommended front spring rate is 900lbs, but KWV3 is only 625lbs. Likewise rear we run 800lbs, whereas KW is 455lbs. KW is clearly a comfort oriented suspension. In fact, given the twin tube shock design I doubt they can properly valve them for higher rates.

In any case, spring rates on our setup are totally custom, we can do whatever a customer wants.
