gsf or rcf

gsf or rcf
possibly moving on from the ISF. I have had my 13 isf for about 2 years now, previously had an 08 isf for 4 years prior to that. I'm looking at either the rcf or the gsf. I'm wanting to stick with the power the F series provides but am wanting better lighting and more comfort. This is why i am reaching out to the fellow members. Being single with no kids, i'm not opposed to having a coupe verse sedan. Does anyone have any seat time in either of these cars? if so please share

Having driven both, RCF would feel more stiffer and GSF is tuned a bit more towards comfort. Size difference is apparent. RCF is 185 inches long while GSF is 193.5 inches so the additional 8.5 inches is apparent in city driving. You get more practicality with the GSF with the two additional doors and more leg room. RCF sits lower to the ground with a lower roofline for better aero, but has less head room and cabin space. In the RCF, it feels like you are sitting/rotating closer to the rear axle than the GSF.
If practicality and comfort is a big thing for you then pick the GSF. Interior is nicer/more luxurious on the GSF. I picked the RCF mostly for its sports car styling and compact size. Keep in mind, I have a baby seat in the back and my daughter is in the RCF almost every time I drive it. We can put groceries in the rear foot wells and the baby stuff in the rear seat. Since it is not my daily driver, I am very happy with the coupe decision. Would highly recommend TVD/carbon fiber RCF. TVD comes standard on GSF, but comes with optional carbon fiber package on RCF.

This. On a scale of "radical" & tastefully loud appearance wise: RCF>ISF>GSF. Both the RCF and GSF are extremely rare birds by me, however the RCF is much more of an attention grabber. The more I see the more I want one. I think they're stunning cars and I'd move on to one of these if I was leaving the ISF in a second. In your situation, I think this one is a no-brainer. Single with no kids = RCF. =)

I'm just searching for more of a comfortable ride. Is the rcf as rugged and stiff like the ISF. I know it won't compare to a LS but i want as smooth of ride as possible given these **** missouri roads. I'm thinking GSF but i guess what i really need to do is test drive both of them and see which one i like better. Thanks for all the input, it's appreciated.

A GSF is probably More future proof, depending on your goals. Way easier for kids and your buddies to crawl into. If your a white collar guy, it’s easier for the team to take to lunch, and believe it or not I’d argue the C suite thinks a 4 door driver looks more mature than a coupe driver. I’m not saying that’s true, but I live in that world and hear conversations many don’t.
I wish the ISF had more room, so I’d pick the GSF.

However, if you have potholes and lots of cracks/joints on the road then yes, it will feel bumpy especially if you put the tire pressure at the recommended 36F/36R (I go 38R/36F and it is harsh over crappy roads).

I'm single and don't have kids either. But I'd pick GSF mainly because I like having 4 doors for occasions, and personally I'm done with 2 doors.
Of course, I'm saying this under the impression that you're looking for daily driver.

If you're single with no kids, there is no way I'd get a GSF. I find them extremely ugly. The RCF looks 100 times better and you don't need the back seats, if you had a family or something I could see considering a GS-F or maybe an M3?

i do not have a family, and i will never ever own a BMW just my .02

smooth ride ? in term of suspension ? up grade to Ohlin, throw in some lighter forged wheels and Michelin tires. Headlight is pretty normal in term of brightness. of all the 3 models, ISF the most rawest and if u are bore maybe twin turbos is what u r looking for

I do like the added room and 4 doors of the GSF but no it will not be a daily driver. My ISF only gets taken out on the weekends if the weather is nice. I could daily it, but don't see the need when i have other vehicles to rack the mileage up with.

Isf owner here, single & no kids. I really like all of 3 of 'em, though have only ever driven the Isf.
I see the it this way: all have 4 seats (or does Gsf have 5?). Which one has the most roomy and accessible rear ones?

Though I like the looks of the rcf more, I'd go with the gsf just because of driving dynamics alone, the rest is icing on the cake. I'm not sure whether the rcf has been updated to at least make it on par with the gsf.
