It's not a recall notice. It's a notice to let you know if you have a problem they will fix it free. I got the same one, and thought the same thing until I read the FAQ and it clearly says "if you have these symptoms". I don't. And much like the sticky dash thing, I probably won't because my cars all live inside the garage and only get parked outside uncovered on rare occasion.
I agree with your position on airbags. I've seen too many people get severely injured by them to believe they're actually safer as long as you're not an idiot driving without a seatbelt.

What the heck...the anger is real!....lol
My air bag light went on a while back but i fixed it with the help of this forum. Just tightened some loose connections in the air bag wire harness and hasn't come back since. I got the tsb but it looks like it is for a different reason as to why it triggers the light.
