That indeed sounds like a single runner exhaust leak.
oh no they sound the same to me. The clacking then it quiets down....what exactly would I be hearing for and what is the difference between the two videos?

I think that maybe my car isn’t as badly cracked yet as the other car? However it’s definitely sounding very similar... my dealer thinks it’s just valve noise, hydraulic lifters? But I don’t think the engine has these!?
Im convinced it’s the manifold?’ they aren’t and have sent me on my way.
No hydraulic valve lash anything in this engine. All solid.
Manifold leaks don't quiet down quickly. The start up sound does. It's less than a minute. An exhaust manifold leak will make noise for at least 3 minutes if it has any size to it at all.

ooooh...that's key then. Mine lasts for less than 30 seconds

My ticking depending on temperature lasts for up to 15 ish seconds. As soon as the fast idle warm up is over the noise reduced dramatically, however when driving along the road you can still hear a ticking through the firewall as the Revs rise accelerating under load.
Also during a cold start if I raise the revs it stops ticking but if I blip the throttle it does a tick, then if I let it continue the cold start cycle as usual it’ll tick until that’s complete.

So mine (PER VIDEO) the noise at initial morning start up will last for a few minutes depending on atmospheric temps, colder=longer. that start up was after only a few hours cooling off, so it didnt last as long as initial morning start up.
mine though, on throttle you can hear it rasp/ clack noise, let off throttle, noise goes away. mine fore sure is coming from the passenger side rear.

Mine does something similar (previous post above with video) when I'm parked and revv the engine. The clacking/tapping/flutter gets louder the higher the RPM goes and decreases as it goes down. It doesn't sound like lifter tick either so I assume it's some form of an exhaust leak. It's at the dealer right now for maintenance and thorough look over.
Really? Even after warming up and driving, the clacking gets louder and faster when I revv it parked. I do notice though that at start up during the day that it doesn't clack at all.

The brief video you posted sounds exactly like my IS F and GS F. If it does something outside the time window you posted, there is no way of evaluating it because it's not there. Note how the exhaust note changes dramatically at 30 seconds in both cars. The IS F does have a start up noise issue but it is cam chain related, not exhaust related. See my other video for details.
Just had mine fixed under warranty, it was around $3000 parts and labor. Had them throw the starter in there while the passenger header was taken apart.
