Second hand "complaints" are not fair to anyone, member or vendor, so let's keep the discussion on the new kit and not on the issues some may have (or have not) experienced.

Closing it wouldn’t do much good either, some people who have opinions or are not enlightened will continue to defame stuff they can’t have or something went wrong in their time and now despise the platform over a isolated incident, and even so, if it blew up it proves the kit is as advertised. IMO has it not been a rule, the naysayers give a different thought process to check into that someone wanting to take the step might of overlooked or had blinders on due to excitement. Maybe require permission or proof to their claim and if not take away the posting privileges. Strictly opinion by no means condoning such behavior.

That's a fair statement, but my tool set for managing disparaging comments is limited. I do my best to respect the opinions of others even when I disagree (and I ask for assistance from the moderator team to ensure it isn't my personal bias coloring the discussion), but when the conversation turns nothing but negative, my sole remaining option is to close the thread.

I'll be the first to say I am a skeptic. I've seen way too many marketing claims that fail to deliver, especially in the "high performance" arena. You can ask Rafi yourself, he knows I'll be the guy pointing out the potential problems before I jump on the bandwagon. The issue I have is when the speculators take over the conversation with nothing but negative outlooks. It's not fair to anyone, and that's the point I wanted to make with my post.

Just like I read a guy telling people they should have warned him before he bought his IS250 about how slow it was going to be. Not much more can be said

I used my factory vent just removed the slats in the vent. This one looks really good also. Similar to mine. I found these as well.

The last time I had an F, the S/C was still a pipe dream. I am so happy to have discovered someone finally got it done!! Are people still getting these S/C kits regularly? Is this something I could still order?

Yes RR racing has done plenty of development over the last 3 years on the SC:

Our Price: $6,600.00

Product Code: ISFSCR1002

Necessary Add-ons:
No Ethanol Kit [Add $550.00] Methanol Kit [Add $731.42] Intercooler Upgrade [Add $1,200.00] Tune: No (own tune) [Subtract -$200.00] Qty:DescriptionIt's hard to believe that as of 2019, our original “RR625” ISF supercharger kit (that was later upgraded to RR780 with Stage 3), featured on many dozens of ISF’s throughout the world, has now been in production for over 3 years! While this kit has proven to be reliable and upgradable to power levels of over 650whp (or 780hp at the crank), we are now introducing the Street kit intended to fulfill the needs of ISF owners looking for a significant power boost at a reduced price. This kit makes 530whp (about 625hp at the crank) with 30% ethanol blend (please refer to the dyno chart in the photo gallery).

Our new affordable RR625 Street kit features some of the same components as the RR780 kit such as the Rotrex C38-92 blower. We reduced the cost in the following way (please also refer to the comparison table below):

  • Front Mount Intercooler removed. We are able to do this by reducing boost level a bit, and requiring the use fuel of 30% ethanol blend. Keep in mind, at peak boost levels of around 5psi, the minimal increase in intake air temperature is mitigated by using higher octane fuel.
  • Dual Turbosmart Big Bubba blow off valves (BOV) replaced with a single BOV.
  • Billet tensioner replaced with lower cost conventional heavy duty tensioner.
  • ATI aluminum harmonically dampened crank pulley is replaced with a modified OEM pulley.

Please note that RR Racing is now using Rotrex C38R superchargers on all RR780 kits and C38-92 on this RR625 Street kit.

All these changes result in a kit that still delivers significant dyno proven power gains (530whp) at a reasonable cost!

Please note that this kit requires either a Methanol or Ethanol kits as an option for an extra charge (see options).

Also, all parts of this kit can be upgraded in the future, depending on power goals.

RR Racing RR780 Supercharger Kit for Lexus IS-F
DescriptionWe are excited to announce that after six months of testing, five track days, desert testing, and 9000+ miles of punishment and tuning, we are finally ready to release our IS-F Supercharger kit! Our goal for this kit was to maintain stock drivability and reliability, while creating smooth, seamless, and unrelenting supercar levels of power.

RR780 Kit Specifications:

  • Power: For the base kit, our customers can expect to make about 625hp, or 510-530whp (wheel horsepower on a Dynojet dyno, SAE correction) at approximately 7psi peak boost pressure, 93 pump gas, equipped with standard PPE headers and a standard 2.5” dual exhaust.
  • Optional Power: Using our Stage 1 kit and tune, the power can be increased to 570whp -- approximately 670hp at the engine (see the Dyno chart in the photo catalog of this product)! With our Stage 4 "RR780" upgrade, you will get a whooping 650whp or 780hp at the crank! For more detail on stage 4, please refer to separate products under ISF Power Upgrades category.
  • Tuned ECU: We have logged countless development hours perfecting our ECU tune for the ISF for ultimate reliability and drivability. No piggybacks or other BS! We have extensively developed the mapping of the stock ECU, modifying literally hundreds of maps and adding additional functionality to the fueling system that allows us to support up to 530whp without fuel system modifications.
  • Supercharger: Rotrex Supercharger, C38R (the most advanced Rotrex S/C system). Rotrex SC's are extremely efficient and quiet due to their planetary drive system much like a turbocharger.
  • Dry Sump SC Oiling System with Oil Cooler: Our system comes with an autonomous dry sump oiling system and oil cooler, so our system does not require plumbing oil lines to the engine, or adding any additional heat input to the engine’s cooling system.
  • Dedicated Drive System: Rather than using the accessory belt to drive the SC, we designed a dedicated drive system that allows us to achieve the necessary belt tension for a reliable SC drive, without overstressing the alternator, water pump, and AC bearings.
  • Custom Harmonic Crank Damper: There are some overpriced Japanese SC's on the market for the ISF/RCF that eliminate the factory harmonic damper crank pulley and replace it with a simple machined aluminum pulley. We find this simply unacceptable! Working in conjunction with ATI Performance, we developed a custom tuned harmonic damper than drives the SC belt. The ATI damper has been specially developed to dampen the harmonics of the 2UR-GSE engine at high horsepower levels for the ultimate in engine reliability.
  • Billet Tensioner System: Most SC kits on the market use OEM belt tensioners, but we took that a step further by developing a billet belt tensioner that is both more reliable and is able to apply significantly higher belt tension than conventional off the shelf tensioners. For added reliability we use Gates Racing Kevlar drive belts and our own double bearing billet idler pulleys.
  • Dual "Big Bubba" Billet Blow Off Valves: We use not one, but TWO Turbosmart "Big Bubba" 2" blow off valves. Adequate venting is essential for SC responsiveness, reliability, and drivability.
  • Custom Air/Air Intercooler: We use a large 4.5"x12"x10" intercooler core. These intercoolers are extremely high quality and are manufactured in the USA by Bell Intercoolers.
  • Genuine Carbon Fiber Intake Tubing: All visible intake tubing is made from genuine twill weave carbon fiber for an amazing look and function!

Please consider the following:
  • We recommend to buy a boost gauge. We offer a complete boost gauge kit (also see our Gauges category) as an option with this product.
  • We also recommend to buy our Air/Oil Separator (AOS) -- although not required for the supercharger. Please let us know if you don't have an AOS.
  • During installation the bumper rail will have to be removed to fit the intercooler. It is possible to preserve portion of the rail on both sides with an opening for the intercooler.

Ordering and Pricing:
  • Customer who bought the OBD tune from us are eligible for credit -- please select the option Recalibration option and select Own Tune. Please also tell us what model year is your IS-F by selecting the appropriate option.
Important Disclaimer:

I was perusing the website yesterday quite a bit, and I'm very interested in digging in a bit more once I get my hands on the car and see what's been done already. I'll have loads of questions about install-related stuff, but we can cross that bridge once we get there. Thanks for responding on here!
