And here are your results! The car without an intercooler needs to run on E30 to keep exhaust temps down at a safe level. now keep in mind we do realize not everyone has accessibility to ethanol, which is where the methanol comes into play. Regardless, these are some really solid results. The kit will start at $6600 and we will be releasing it next week with a POSSIBLE intro price difference. Currently working on that.

I prefer to call it the Street Kit, much better name for it
But... I almost would have preferred less power and the ability to run standard fuels. For a daily driven street car running a street kit I’d rather not have to be running a blend or an injection system.

Did this test car have any other mods (headers, exhaust, intake)?

I am with you on this. I actually prefer the regular kit for that reason, which I can’t afford lol.

Agreed. I'd absolutely rather have less power instead of having to use a blend or an injection system. Hopefully one day they'll offer something like that...
Ethanol is great and I'd love to use it, but unfortunately its just not as widely available as it needs to be in a lot of places to be viable. And as far as methanol injection goes, I've never been a fan of the added complexity/risk/unreliability it can add to the system.
I wonder what kind of power you would max out on with pump gas (no ethanol/meth) and no intercooler? Maybe they did some testing or math and it just wasn't significant enough to be worth it?

The car on 93 octane was not safe (detonation) at all so thats why they made the switch to blending.
As far as the ethanol not being widely available, thats why they offer the Meth Kit. You can buy the meth off amazon and its only used under boost so it lasts a while.
My car was used for the development of this kit thats why I know.

Seems like a band aid. The reality is the kit makes too much heat without the IC. You can address that with blending, but the first step would be cooling, in my humble opinion.
