Default Isf overheat on track

Hi, i just came from my first session of lapping today, (in the isf), i won't tell you it wasn't a hot day but my car overheated after only 3-4 hotlap, it's a 1minute max lap, first session i got out after 10 minutes , 2nd i manage the 15 minutes by not pushing the car too much on the straight, 3rd same thing it overheat after 5-6 minutes , i know it was hot but i figured that it was the car that should not overheat and made to be pushed, and car got slower when too hot , i had the oil at 6 bars and water temp touching the red, as soon as i lift off a little the temp would go down in a minute, car is healty , no leak, no check, 70kmiles, i'm thinking radiator and condenser fins too much beat up by time that would decrease flow trough, anyway, it was a blast, i learned about the car today, first , them brakes are INSANE , i was braking from 200kmh to about 60 in 200meters non stop, never fade , ridiculous, handling was nice but bumpy, like on the road lol (2008),my only issue here is that overheat , i was loosing a lot of power i guess it's from the pcm , if any of you got ideas i'm listening, tanx .

I track a decent amount and water temp has never been an issue (needle never moves from the middle). However, it is common to get to 6 bars on oil temps - happened to me all the time until I bought the RR oil cooler. I would start with figuring out the water temp issue first (radiator, thermostat, water pump, etc.) - that for sure is not normal. Good luck....

Never had the water temp rise on me at the track, only the oil temperature. You could have a clogged up AC condenser that is not allowing enough air to flow through to the radiator.

I looked at the rad condenser assembly i could easily see the flashlight on the other side , i dunno, maybe i'll start with a thermostat not to start throwing parts around like crazy 🤔

Venting the hood will help massively with water/trans temps. Stock hoods leave the air no where to go. Venting will increase efficiency of the elements over 100%, add a oil cooler and you'll be good.

You mean adding trap on the hood?

Yeah you can add your own vent or just buy a hood with them already integrated, like the Seibon TSII style or the Novel.

Agree that ventilation helps but his issue is not normal. Need to find the root of the problem.

Looked for a leak on waterpump even if i changed it , no leak, looked for the valley plate leak and didn't noticed nothing (that i can see), lower condenser is a little beatup at the bottom grill from rocks i guess , but top part looks new, fans works, but cannot see if they kick in high speed because i was not able to duplicate the spirit driving on the street lol. I'm stuck between bringing it in or trying a new thermostat and see, or trade in 😂

If you really want to start easy and cheap, why dont you try bleeding your rad? Maybe you have air trapped in the system?

I didn't touch anything coolant related in 5 years since the waterpump, the system should have bled itself by now or i'm wrong?

I believe our car self-bleeds.. There is a tube in the resevoir that funnels coolant out when you overflow and I think it doubles as a breather.

If you don't have any leaks... maybe the thermostat isn't opening?
