Gutted cats and no CEL
As per title. Gutted out the primary and secondary cats last week. Got a bit of cash back from the scrap dealers for the guts as well 😁
Car is now pretty fumy and tends to pull fumes in while driving with window down. I might end up welding in some hi flows
But...... It hasn't thrown up a engine check light or anything. From what I've read these things are pretty much guaranteed to throw a code?
Is my F broken?

You should’ve plugged in some conditioners before you get the code. Your emission monitors would be still in “ready” status.
You will get a CEL soon, as the ECU will stop giving the missing cats the benefit of a doubt, after few drive cycles.
