By Brett Foote

Despite rampant rumors in recent years, it appears that the Lexus IS F is officially dead forever.

At least our values will stay up... and companies will keep developing for it.

Old and re-purposed news we already shared in this section a while back: "But now it appears that Scott Thompson, Lexus Australia's chief executive, is killing them all in one fell swoop." This is not definite enough IMO. Does the executive in Australia represent the entirety of the F brand?

Yeesh, that’s a crap load of work to make an inferior chassis vehicle into something it’s not.

We've kind of known this based on the many years of hiatus.. I've been thinking what my next car would be lately and I don't know that a GSF is the right fit (RCF not family friendly enough). I'll probably keep the ISF another few years but after that maybe Audi?... I really have enjoyed the Toyota reliability.

This news makes me happy I don’t daily mine. I’ll own, race, and enjoy mine for 20 plus years, and my winter / daily cars are more affordably replaced as needed.

You mean like Lexus did when they made the IS F? What, if anything, is special about the IS F chassis?
