There are lots of "performance" builders who mistakenly believe higher viscosity oils are better. They're not. Nobody in F1 is running 50 weight oil....there's a good reason for this.

I wouldn't recommend changing anything since you're well down the path with this, but I would run from anyone recommending heavy oils and building to accommodate them. They're thinking 1950's technology.
