Default Hello, any one know of this ISF ? Link inside

https://sacramento.craigslist.org/ct...134669505.html

It's a 2012 salvage title.

I'm considering this if my corvette sale falls through soon I can possibly look or wait patiently for an isf or other options.

The response I got from them was vague. They mention they've worked on ISF for a long time and was done right but no other details. Anyone got insight/advice on this or should I pass.
I've read to aim for 2010+ for the LSD and other factory upgrades but some of the issues like melting dash kind of strange.

Thanks

I would pass. It has the wrong wheels (from a 2008-2009) and it is too expensive for a salvage title. It does look clean though

Thanks. good eye. So that's what was visually off. That's as off as an ap2 on ap1 wheels.

Your example is actually worse because the wheel sizes diameter was completely different. In this case, its the widths. Still bad, but that example is worse lol

Red face

The wheels don't make or break this deal...

The engine cover is the wrong color

LexusNN has a point on price. I've been on full USA craigslist search and a better deal can come up.

Wheels not a deal breaker but salvage plus pre-facelift wheels doesn't sit too well with me.

First, what is your price point? Do not do It ! The price is too high for a salvage. Just be patient and continue to search. You will find a deal your comfortable with. These cars are rare and the search will take some time. Could the owner provide before and after pictures with shop receipts and details? If not, don't even bother.

Saw this post in LA for few months:
https://losangeles.craigslist.org/la...134382172.html

Also, it's missing the Mark Levinson logo....very rare does an ISF not come with ML. Something is not right with this car. For that price, you can find a clean title ISF.

Salvaged/rebuilt is car with a terminal illness (at least for a road car). Don't know why cars in Sac are always salvaged. What are they doing up there?

Ask him for pictures before repair, and check the Carfax to see if airbags deployed or not. The car looks clean.

Exclamation

If you are even remotely serious, you will need the VIN..

If the car was auctioned you will find it easily

If it wasn't, you can at least look up dealership history, carfax, etc.

Those pics proved to me how valuable the 2012 wheels are.

Thanks for the replies. That one from KareemAuto looks good.

No hurry for me to purchase at this time, can wait. Ideally would want to sell my c5 to have better justification.
