Great runs mad props and I love my F. But, it is crazy to think we have to throw the kitchen sink at Merc AMGs just to run with them.

I am curious about your wheel tire setup and how much rotational mass you dropped. Care to share the details on your setup and weight savings?

Trunk gutted to bare metal
Wheel setup:
255/35/19F, 285/30/19 falken azenis
rims: 8.5x19F, 9.5x19 rear, 19 pounds each rim
suspension: Penske coilovers less weight then oem
RR light weight battery
two piece rotors
CF driveshaft

Thats pretty much it as far as weight savings go. But saving weight as far as rotational mass all I can say is OMG! Transformed the car more then I expected it to. Especially going with light tires, rims, rotors and driveshaft. That bump alone felt unreal!

So true! He doesn’t even have a nice exhaust it’s a crush bend 2.5”. I know with down pipes and a tune he would destroy me.

That's a 2012-2013 pre face lift E63 your buddy has, I have the same car. All 2014+ E63s are face lifted & came with the 4Matic AWD in North America, along with a power bump from 550hp to 577hp. I only mention this because the 2014+ specs are different & with the AWD, it cut its 0-60 from 3.8 seconds to 3.4.

Anyhow, your F sounds great, wonder what kind of times you can put down in the 1/4 mile with those lightweight bits

With this new setup I have not had a chance but have been wanting to go. Due to all the craziness the track has been closed. Best time I ever ran though was a 12.4 @ 117. DA was 2500 and temps were 90F. That was prior to the CF driveshaft, trans mount, tires, etc. I also was running into a problem where the car stuttered near redline and that ended up being a bad MAF sensor which I ordered a new one. Weird it wasn’t throwing a code for it either.
BTW your right I confronted my buddy and he said it’s a 2012 E63 AMG RWD.
