Lexus ISF vs E63 AMG
I just want to get some feedback on what the community thinks the ISF is capable of. I know when I posted the races of my ISF vs my buddies evo and it putting down 450whp and me beating him everyone doubted but I don’t care. Let me know how you think the race went and who won and by how much. I’ll post the video after I get a few responses. A little bit about the cars and about the race:
2008 Lexus ISF vs 2012 E63 AMG
no passengers
clean hits every time
Rolls were between 30-40mph and stopped between 130-140mph
The very last pull we did was 30-170mph

RR magnaflow exhaust

1/4 mile, from a dig - it could go either way depending on driver skill.
From a roll, unless you forgot to list your RR Supercharger - it won't be very close, the E will very likely walk away. : (
I am rooting for the F tho!

Your car, depending on location and DA, is a high 11 second car... I am guessing you won over and over based on your post alone.
People put too much emphasis on what they read a car is capable of in a magazine. I beat cars with much more power at the drag strip all the time. The only thing that matters is how it goes down the strip. Magazine numbers have zero relation to real life.
It also weighs close to a 1000 pounds more and ISFs are known to pull above their weight in fourth gear and beyond.

I suspect the wildly different performance expectations for our cars is dependent on location and DA. I can gain a half a second in the 1/4 when the DA drops from 3300 to 2850 on the same evening of racing. That’s only into the low 12s.
For comparison, my buddies mustang consistently runs the same times at those DA numbers. I think other manufacturers don’t have such conservative tuning and ECMs.
I think lexus has put so many protections into our cars that someone with a DA of 0 is way, way faster than someone like me in Indiana.
So some think it’s absurd to beat an AMG... but on a nice cool morning at sea level where the DA is in the negatives, your ISF may actually be closer to a mid 11 second car.

Nice runs! That E63 is actually a PFL 2012-2013 with the Performance package, 550hp 590tq. The face lifted 2014+ had 577hp to compensate for the additional weight of the added AWD. I sold my F a few years back & went through a few cars, eventually landed on a '13 E63. I did a Dragy run of 11.5 @ 127mph right after getting my Stage 1 tune with no other mods. Its a great car but I miss my F a lot too (came back to browse the classifieds lol)
