Default Need help - Fog Light fitment & installation - Morimoto XB LF220 Type T

Hi - Has anyone installed the Morimoto XB LF220 Type T set on their Fs? I bought a set of these from a 4x4 site for my 2010 ISF during the Labor Day sale and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with these specific fogs. Any installation and fitment pointers and tips would be greatly appreciated. The fogs were advertised as direct plug & play on a 2012-15 Tacoma. Package was shipped with two screws and two H11(?) connectors.

That housing looks awfully similar to the OEM one, which is a good sign. Only one screw is used on each housing, the other prongs just locate the housing correctly in the bumper. This thread was a big help to me for my 2014 OEM LED fog install:

Thank you - that was a good read and also very helpful. Any thoughts on the Morimoto supplied connector? Do you know if that will fit the connector on the fog light harness?

I got mega lighting issues and the fogs are jut the tip of it. Took some photos of my issues yesterday.

Those look like H11's, but it is hard to be sure without a close-up like this:

The factory harness is designed to mate with a standard H11 socket. If that's what Morimoto provided, you will need to run wire leads from the light to the back-shell of the socket. It would be wise to check polarity before finalizing.

Here is a link to part numbers and photos of the fog light harness connector:

Thank you very much. Exactly the info I was looking for. I am in your debt, kind sir.

Re: the Morimoto supplied connector, it's a H11 connector and should fit the fog light harness (Genuine Toyota 82824-60460 Wiring Harness Connector). I will update on the fog fitment and installation later this weekend.

The installation of the Morimoto XBs was pretty straightforward and almost plug&play. Lens profile is a bit different from stock, but unnoticeable once installed.
Slight (approx.1mm) trimming of the tabs was required to achieve insertion and mating of the tabs in the slots. I had to grind/shave ~1mm off the length and girth of two tabs to achieve proper alignment and fitment. Overall happy with the light output and build quality of the fogs and will order another set for the Taco.

Morimoto XB - Tabs had to be trimmed to achieve fitment. Slots rejected insertion of tabs initially.

Morimoto XB, screwed in place. Tab with the screw cups a mound with the threads when tabs are inserted all the way.

Light output is pretty good...definite upgrade over stock

Fixed the water ingress issue which was due to a crack by the base of the flimsy tab that hooks on to the fender...used some silicone to seal up the crack

Trimming wasnt necessary. I saw this from another thread. Just install in front of the inserts. This will close the gaps even more.

Any output shots? I like the larger lens profile. Considering the upgrade but my OE LED fogs seem adequate (yes, totally subjective).

Ok I see. Installing in front of the inserts didn't even occur to me, but I can see how that would provide for a snugger fit. I will try that next time I take off the bumper. Thanks.

I will try to take some output shots this week and update.
Morimoto site claims each fog has output intensity of 1200 lumen and that the white temp is 5500K. Link below is for the Lexus specific fogs, but the tech specs are identical to the Toyota ones I installed.
