Default Installed Antigravity Li Ion battery today

Well, my battery took a dump yesterday. lobux's recommendation was bouncing around in my head. It's a very cool battery/system. Very expensive too.

15.6 lbs. (per spec)
1400 CCA - car starts fast, kinda neat.
Built-in jump starter

I actually got this one: https://antigravitybatteries.com/pro...ive/ag-51r-rs/

It weighed 9.25 lbs on my scale. They claim it weighs 8.5, but my scale disagreed with that. It spins the engine over ridiculously hard and starts instantly.

I'm planning to get another one for my Supra when I finally get around to fixing it again.

How does the Group-24 battery fit with factory clamp? From photo, it looks like small gaps both sides, but easily shimmed if desired.
Is the manual "re-start" button the black ring-like thing near the positive terminal?

Anti-Gravity's battery control electronics are impressive.

It fits perfectly with the exception you noted. It's less than 1/4" per side if centered. A small shim would do the trick. I was in their parking lot and didn't have any of my stuff with me. The battery is held firmly without the shims. It's so light it probably isn't necessary. But I will add some nonetheless.

Did you weigh your battery? AG claims it weighs 15.6 pounds. If it actually weighs 9 pounds, that would be amazing.

No I sure didn't. I had better revise my post with their specs, thanks. It did not feel like15lbs . More like a 10lb free-weights plate. But let me edit my post to their spec.

Nice. That will be my next battery. I currently have a Braille AGM 21lb battery in my car.

So other than price is there a functional downside to these?

That was the battery on my list until I found Arc Angel batteries. It's half the price, 15.9 lbs, 45 Ah,--more than the Antigravity, 1300 CA, 10 year warranty.
Just got one in my evo x and it starts the car like no other battery did...will get one for the F when the redtop runs out of juice.

^^^^I just went to the site. My LC takes a Group 48. Wonder why it costs twice as a Group 24

Well, 24 + 24 = 48 so it adds up. Sorry, couldn't resist.

I'd get the Group 51. It's lighter, smaller, cheaper and has plenty of kick to start and run the car. The AG battery I have now is less than 10 pounds as measured on my scale, rated at 24 Ah, and spins the engine over better than any lead/acid battery I've owned (I've had three of them in my IS F!?!). I like the 10 year warranty assuming I won't need to use it. That's what sucked about the red top in my Supra. When I drove it daily, I never had a problem and they lasted about 6 years. When it became my occasional driver, they lasted about 24 months, I got a replacement, it lasted 24 months, then I had to buy a new one because the replacement doesn't have the same warranty as a new one. Hated it. I'm looking forward to a sub 10 pound battery capable of holding its charge for long periods of sitting. Just what the Supra needs.
