Default BC coilover springs - front moved to rear?

Hi,

I ordered some BC’s, 12k front 10k rear.
When they arrived into the country, the retail shop called me and said BC accidentally put 10k in the front so sent me additional 12k springs separately to swap over myself.
They’ve shown up today, and the rears are 8k, not 10. This looks like a standard is250 kit from the info on the box, 10 & 8k.
Question is can I take the front 10k’s and put them in the rear to make my 12-10 set up?
Thanks

If I remember correctly the front and rear springs on the BC's are the same length and inner diameter so they should be interchangeable.

You can verify by checking the part numbers as follows:

The springs have their details printed on them in the following formats:

Straight and barrel springs: Example 62.180.008
  • 62 = internal diameter in mm
  • 180 = spring length in mm
  • 008 = spring rate in kg per mm

Shouldn't have any problem doing that. The rates are close enough and won't overload the dampers - as long as the ID is pretty close why not go ahead and give it a shot?

Dont the GS's need a heavier rear spring? Maybe that was their reason for sending you a heavier rear

So the springs are interchangeable with the BC's for the ISF - should anyone need to know for future reference. Thanks for all the replies
