Default Tire Pressure Correction Chart

HI guys. I couldn't find any discussion about this here. What do you guys think of this chart as a way to figure correct tire pressures for wider tires? Is this legit? Supposedly this came from Discount Tire. Going by this, my pressures for 255/35/19 (92SL) and 285/30/19 (98XL) should be 32 and 34 psi, respectively. Anyone here come across this or used it before?

The only time I get really concerned about tire pressure is at the track. For street driving, I just set them to 36 psi regardless. I see their point, and in some applications it makes a big difference (trucks and trailers), but a passenger sedan driving on the street isn't much of a big deal at all. The ultimate arbiter of this is do you wear the centers or the sides of your tires first? If they're wearing evenly across the tread (with the exception of toe wear on the edge(s)), you're doing just fine.

Thanks for the input.
Cheers!
