Default Rear brake rotors not going on??

rotor keeps being caught on either side of that e brake ring. Maybe I need to adjust it instead of shifting it around? Not sure where to

got it in, the parking brake was engaged when family member pulled the car in. Disengaged it and it dropped right in??

Yes if the E brake is engaged it will of course spread out.

Surprising you got the rotor off.

After that sometimes it may go on. You will notice on your new rotor there is a plug on the flat face or hole. This is to move it to the star wheel area for adjustment.
Follow isf manual guideline so that your E brake works!

Thanks for confirmation. Wasn’t easy to get off, I blasted the m8 bolts with an impact was probably why haha. Had a really hard time twisting the silver circle and the spring back in

I already installed them with the hole facing the wrong way actually =S there was no cap/boot or anything.

edit: Brembo suggest slow and easy break in on their rotors. Seems opposite of pad break in?

Did you fully retract the adjuster before attempting to put the disc on? Also, did you adjust the parking brake after installing the disc? Both are pretty important if you want the parking brake to actually work. There is also a bedding process for these shoes.

I did not adjust the parking brake well after disc since it requires very far pedal to keep car stopped in N on a small incline.

Mine is set for 3 clicks. I hate loose parking brakes. I tighten it until the rotor won't rotate, then back off 3 steps. Works a charm, and is better than factory by far.

Hello, I’d be interested to know the actual
bed in procedure for the parking brake shoes, my new ones are great at holding the car in N, and even R pushing the accelerator but in D the car moves forward even with no throttle input.

thanks!

BED IN PARKING BRAKE SHOES TO DISCS

(a) Drive the vehicle at about 50 km/h (31 mph) on a safe, level and dry road.

(b) Depress the parking brake pedal with 150 N (15 kgf, 34 lbf) of force.

(c) Drive the vehicle for about 400 m (0.25 mile) in this condition.

(d) Repeat this procedure 3 times.

I also learned early on, if you want the P Brake cable slack noise to go away, be sure to park it with the P Brake floored a few nights after a brake job.
