Your welcome to disagree politely in this thread, but we aren’t going to start political debates, nor will any reference to skin color be tolerated.

Back on topic... If this engine has been developed already, is there a reason not to throw it in a platform? It’s been rumored for years now, so they must have some decent R&D in it already.

I just got a 2020 GSF because it seemed that it may have been the last NA v8 sedan from Lexus. If this is true (Which I highly doubt it is since the japanese car website that was referenced has been known to push out false rumors) Then I'll be in line for the LSF or LCF in that order.

Also, am I the only one who doubts it because of the 660hp rumor? This is Lexus that we are talking about, 660HP seems a bit of a stretch for a company focused on safety and reliability.

I could see it realistically weighing in around 3900 if this is true. The 2021 Is350 awd weighs that much.

It would only make sense if the hypothetical ISF weighing 4000lb to include AWD which probably won't happen.

But an ISF won't happen anyways so moot point.

This thread is hanging by a thread. Climate change is a charged topic, and much like politics, is not welcome here for debate. There are many other places on the web for this discussion, but it does not belong here. Yes, we all get it, there are many changes coming, some welcome, some unwelcome and all are seen through the lens of our personal experience so we decide for ourselves which are unwelcome and which are not.

If the topic continues to stray from a 4 liter twin turbo V-8 from Lexus, the thread will be closed.

NA v8 would be great; but it has to make ~500hp to be competitive in the segment.

TT v8 would be great, too, but then it needs to have balance/handling.

Oh, my one wishlist item is for 3 seatbelts in the rear.

MODERATOR EDIT - sunamer please exit this thread. Absolutely no need for the rude commentary.

We closed our debate forum because of the toxic environment it created with no resolutions or mature compromises ever made. We will not allow the associated animosity of those conversations to simply continue in the main CL discussion forums.

I don't disagree that climate change and other debate or political topics are critically important, but the IS-F forum and Club Lexus are not the place to discuss them.

Now THATS a direction Lexus should go. Lots of space lots of power lots of reliability. No downside to that ride

Maybe it truly is the end of the V8 era... if Toyota does make a V8 or continue to use the 2ur that would be cool. Problem is, I doubt its ever going to happen as that site always contradicts itself

Hybrid power trains have some merit in the performance realm. Ferrari LaFerarri comes to
mind. I look forward to seeing how that stacks up.
