Default Help with installing toms side skirts

So, I bought the toms cf kit off facebook, and I'm having a hell of a time trying to install the side skirts.

I removed the side skirts off the car for the 3rd time today, and have been trying to figure out how the toms skirts fit into the oem ones and I can't for the life of me figure it out.

The isf side skirts seem to be curved, while the toms one is straight so there is a gap in between the oem and toms side skirts. The push pin clip hole doesn't match up with the toms one either.

Here is the front of the toms side skirts aligned with the oem side skirt. Is there supposed to be that small little protrusion from the toms side skirts at the end there, or is it supposed to be straight like the oem one?

Here I've just went ahead and slotted in the oem side skirt into the toms but again there's that gap/extension there.

Here it is as lined up as I could get it.

Here's the huge gap in between the toms and oem near the rear of the skirt where the oem side skirt is curved.

Here I can barely fit the oem side skirt into the toms, and a better view of the gap due to the curve of the oem.

As you can see the holes don't exactly match up, you can kind of see the light of the push clip hole from the oem.

As you can see here, the width of the toms is smaller than the oem side skirt.

Another picture of the gap due to the curvature.

So, am I doing it all wrong, or did the guy sell me the wrong kit or something? Any help would be great, this is day 3 of what was supposed to be a straightforward install. Thanks.

Correct, right and left are switched and then need to be flipped.

Oh I see, I'll mock it up tomorrow. I guess the guy labeled them wrong on the packaging. Thanks. I'll keep you updated.

😅😅 I still haven't had a chance to attempt to install it correctly yet..hopefully tomorrow. I've never tried installing side skirts before and all the threads on here didn't have pictures and just said line up the holes and drill, so I'm glad I created this thread. Hopefully it'll help someone else, or maybe not 😂

I just reinstalled mine today. I use 3m double sided tape ( tape it on your cars side skirt first ) along with the screws. It helps hold the CF skirts in place and fills in the gap.

OK so mocked it up hopefully correctly this time, there's still a bit of a gap but not as bad as before. Does this look like it's on correctly?

I've had the Tom's old version side skirts and I don't think they had that much overhang. Do the holes line up now? But yes, that's the right orientation

Too late now, lol. I kind of evened both of the end out and it isn't protruding out as much in the front now.

Thanks!

Yes, looks good. For my install, the rear and front have about the same amount of overhang which is minimal and I believe the holes lined up relatively well to my recollection (I installed them yeaarrrs ago). I know I drilled some holes for extra safety as I deemed appropriate. Also, don't be alarmed when you eventually step out of your car and step down on the side skirt, it should be okay

My kid has stepped on mine more than she has not. Just can’t seem to push her foot that inch away from the body before stomping down.
