Default 2011 ISF front seat problems

Hello CL family! So I bought a set of white Isf seats for my car awhile back.

Took the old black seats out and installed the white ones. Everything bolted fine, plugged the connectors in and check for functionality before torquing the bolts down. Found out that all the buttons work except the part where the seats goes up and down. The odd part is the seat angle works just fine.

I removed all the plugs and plugged them in. Again, all functions work except the seat height adjustment. At this point I’m starting to get frustrated. I pull the seat back out and exchange the whole adjustment module with my old seat which I know was good. Still no joy. I put everything back together, install the drivers seat and move on the passenger hoping I won’t have any problems. Find out it’s doing the same exact thing as my drivers seats, all functions work except the seat height adjustment.

So, I wanted to check if I was messing something up with the install so I took out the passenger seat and put the old one back. Yup, the seat works perfectly.

I tried searching any info about the seats but all I could find is check the fuse, unplug and plug the connectors, wiggle the seat to make sure nothings preventing it from moving and lastly unplug the battery and reset it. Which I did all the above.

Has this happened to anyone? If so, how did you fix it. Any help would be great! Thanks everyone in advance!

Have you tried checking if the seat motor that controls that function is working?

Are the seats the same year as your F? There could be differences in the wiring. As jdmek stated check the motors either disconnected with 12v or connected and a VOM.

Bet money they're different model years and the pins are not in the same locations. What year are the seats from?

Wait - just checked the EWD for the seats. There are no changes at all in the wiring according to the diagrams from 2008 to 2014.

There is no changes. I had 2012 seats in my 08. No issues. I would check if the motor is working before i move on.

Any special procedures? Like clearing the memory or resetting something? I dunno.

No. As soon as you disconnect the seat, the memory for position is lost. AMHIK.

I think that is what you need to look at.

Thanks everyone for the help. I’m gonna work on it this weekend. Question, does the height adjustment different from the seat tilt motor? I figured it’s the same since it’s on the same button. It’s weird that the tilt function works but not the height.

They're different motors. The switch presents itself as a single piece, but it isn't. It's actually two different switches inside.

Are your pins fully seated?

I checked the pins and they’re seated all the way. Can anyone point out the exact motor that corresponds with the height adjustment? I’ve included pictures of under the seats in the original post. I think I’m gonna bite the bullet and replace both the drivers and passenger height motors, hopefully it’s not hard to do.

Thanks for all the help fam!
