Default 2012 Tires size

Been researching for a new set of tires for my 2012. Tire Rack either out of stock and local other places don’t carry it. Costco will not order. Just to be sure. Running stock rims. Planning to install Bc Racing stock spring coil over. Tire I was looking for are Michelin ps4s 245/35/19F and 275/30/19R. But the more I researched that dated around 2016 and earlier. Recommended 255/35/19F and 285/30/19 rear. It’s getting confusing. Can I get 2022 update without rubbing and putting spaces, etc. I don’t track and did look at the Indy 500 also but seem like Michelin are the way to go.

Maybe not the answer you are looking for, but you can also look into the Continental DWS06 or Hankook Ventus V12. Both phenomenal choices.

Indy 500 isn't a bad choice at all. If I were having supply issues, I'd run them without a thought, and I normally run PS4S in 255/35/19 and 275/30/19.

255/35/19 & 285/30/19 will work just fine on your ISF with the wider 2012 (8½" & 9½") wheels. In fact that would be my choice. Those two sizes are available in the Bridgestone Potenza Sport and the Michelin Pilot Supper Sport. Either of those choices would be fine choices IMHO. Good luck.

Nice to see Michelin finallly offering a 285/30/19! They didn't have this size for a long time.

I just ordered a pair over the weekend, should be here this week. I'm going to use them on a 10.5 and use 255/35-19 up front on a 9" wheel.

I'm running Michelin A/S 3+ 255/35/19 and 285/30/19 combo for 2012 wheels.

Highly recommend if you don't mind the meaty fitment!

I don’t mind the meaty fitment at all, how’s the grip in the rain, daily driver feel, any rubbing issues on this setup?

I went meaty as well.. But I also ran 285/30 one time and for on LA roads / fwys there was not enough side wall..

Few times after that set I’ve been running the 275/35 and find ride quality to better.. But that’s just ME and my opinion..

No rubbing lowered on coil overs, but my rear fender lips have been shaved long ago…

I really appreciate the feedback & pictures Joe. My 2012 came with mismatched brands on OEM tire sizes. The rears are driving me crazy! They’re from a company called Ironman…lol. I had Michelin Pilot Super Sports 255/35F & 275/30R on my previous 2011. It was a night & day difference. Sadly, I didn’t get to enjoy them for long. Now I have a 2012 on stock suspension. I’m purposely trying to wear this current setup down. I’ll definitely look into those Yokohamas.

I bought a 2012 almost exactly 2 years ago and it has Hankook Ventus V12 tires on BC Racing wheels. The tires are 255/35 in the front and 295/30 in the rear. I had the car at RR Racing and Rafi was pretty surprised to see those tire widths with no fender adjustments. I get no rubbing whatsoever, so whoever put it together, bought perfect diameter and offset wheels. I do not know the specs on the wheels. Does anyone have any idea how I can figure out the wheel specs? I do know the diameters are 19” rear and 18” front.

The car is sitting on RR Racing’s Penske Road/Track stage 3 coilovers.

I know the Hankooks aren’t Pilot Sports, but they have done an excellent job for me. I’m actually very impressed and can’t complain one bit.

Looks great, and love the tire sizes. Are there any marking on the inside of the wheel ( along the lip, hub or spokes)

Those sizes you mentioned above I'm assuming that is on the stock 2012+ wheels? If so do you still recommend those sizes? Did you ever end up lowering your car at all or on stock ride height?

Thanks!
