Default Help me with led rear reflector wiring

Need some guidance on the wiring of the led rear bumper reflector with Vland taillights. Thanks

I have similar (if not the exact same) LED reflectors but have not installed them yet because I don't want to just splice into the taillight wires. Here is a thread for a few years ago that I was following but there has been no follow up in a while. Post #20 shows a great example of the functionality and Post #22 gives a link to factory style connectors to create your own jumper harness. I wish there was a plug an play solution for this though...

Be careful with these, I had a set where one reflector shorted. It blew the brake light fuse. If that fuse blows the car will not start.

Had no idea - thanks for this heads up. I've got aftermarket ones in as well.

Assuming you don't mind tapping wires, there are different ways to do this. Of course the ground is obvious. The 2 others are the loads. They can be tapped to DRL, Brake, or even directional-your choice. I used a weather proof connector on the bumper side, so it can be easily removed. I ran the wires through an existing grommet.

im a novice when it comes to wiring. I bought some solderless splicing wire connector to help with taping the wires. I’m just not sure which wire color goes to which. From my understanding the led reflector wires are (yellow=signal, black=ground, white=parking, red=brake). My Vland tail light wires color are (black, yellow, red, green). My temptation is to tap them based on color (black to black, red to red yellow to yellow and white to green). But I don’t want to mess up if that’s not correct. Need confirmation

I plan on taking mine out this weekend. If I remember correctly, I had to install two resisters to make it work. I’ll take some pictures and list them. Without the resisters, The vsc and check engine light were on.
