Is this your car? Can you discuss the trans behavior change? Feedback on tune?

Yes, my car.
I'll speak for the N/A tune since nitrous completely transforms the car to a whole different level. Keep in mind my tune is written for N/A and nitrous the timing is more conservative.

As you can see the torque comes on hard and very early (~370wtq at 3500rpm) this makes the car a blast to drive. I've encountered several times where I'm burning tires into 2nd, and chirping them in 3rd.

Some factors for that is my chassis( figs mega grip kit, pinion & diff bushings, FIGs solid trans mount, RR engine mounts, KW v3, etc. )

Power feels linear and great, never do you feel any dips or loss sensation (like I've previously encountered)
I've had two other tunes and the car has never felt this strong with either previous tuners.

It was a warm winter in Sacramento and most of the events were only 1/8 mile because of heavy fog and moisture on track surface.

He should be coming out with a full E85 fuel ISF naturally aspirated tune later this year. Loi and a few of his RCF customers are running NA E85 FBO tunes.

What diff/gears/lsd do you have, and will that tune be on stock fuel system, or are upgraded injectors required?

Will you please list full mods?

You running his canned tune or did he custom tune your car?

I keep hearing about this trans tune but don’t hear any feedback or show any differences. Positron is PPE headers, heat wrapped intake, exhaust, CF DS, 3.7 diff, slicks, and lots of weight reduction. Stock injectors but idk about fuel pump.

Remote tune file. I have my own licensed copy of VF Tuner to load ecu file onto my car.

PPE headers
X-Force exhaust
MRP MAF with K&N cone filter
AEM E85-Compatible fuel pump

Sikky CF driveshaft
GS450h rear diff
MT Street R tires

Already switched to Hoosier DR2 tires since the Street R are worn out.

Confirmed the torque converter stays locked to 7200 rpm. Car had headers, catback, and HPS elbow. The numbers do seem low, but that may be dyno dependent.

Loi sent me the updated ECU/TCU map couple weeks ago. Once I get my car back from my friend's shop, I will load the file and test on the way home. Fyi my car's redline is at 7400rpm. I'll try to get video of the cluster to show you guys.

Is 7400 safe? I’m hesitant to raise the redline at all, as I like the oem Safety limits. I’m curious what your collective thoughts are? Can we change the shift tone rpm as well?

Kinda doesn't matter. The engine's cams are not setup to breathe that well. If we had more lift available, it might help some. I suspect 7400 with a lower final drive means one less shift in a quarter mile pass.

KCLV low and ramping kclv on a dyno builds tons of heat leading to heatsoak.
Combine that with poor airflow and you'll see low numbers very quickly.

Off The Line Performance (where Loi is based out of) has a HUGE 90mph dyno fan(you can't talk, let alone stand in front of it) and both my ISF and my friends ISF heatsoaked very quickly at 60-80° ambient I even removed my hood to speed up tuning.

Can you give us a review of the tune? Loi seems nice, but I can’t seem to find out what all is altered by the tune. I get certain things are proprietary… but so is the health of our engines lol.

This is the same impression I got from him after I contacted him. I asked him about the transmission, as he states he tunes it as well. I wanted to know exactly what is done to it. He simply said he raises the rev limiter. I left it at that.
