Yea, Last year it was time slip and video if possable. We might want to fine someone who will hold the $20 winnings. We had a few members who never paid up.
Toothdoc do you want to start a thread with times only? we can keep this one up for rules and etc..

MiiK350, what times are you running?

Wow, how in the heck did you drop 300lbs!? You weren't by chance on the biggest loser show? Based on that I think you may see very low 12's with a proper wheel/tire combo this year.

Anybody know what "330" measures??
Nice man! That 1/8th run is about equivalent to a 13.1 on a full 1/4 mile.

Hey Mike..

It's 330 Feet or 1/16th of a mile or the half point in a 1/8th mile run..

Is all this info you posted from one run??

I'm pretty sure the focus group will mainly be for the 1/4 mile track junkies..

Looks like you got some nice runs the other night @ Irwindale.
As the weather gets cooler, you will see a nice improvement here in SoCal.

Regards,
Joe Z

Well, not quite 300lbs (too many beers when posting, lol) 241lbs to be spot on about it. If I hook; 12.2's I hope.

So, HKS, are you in? I'm at about 100 lbs of weight loss myself with the new battery, rims, and spare out. And Miik350, if you want, just say it and I'll put you on the list. BUT, a 13 second pass for the 1/4 isn't going to do it. Last year's winner was at 12.38 I believe and I have every reason to believe this year's run is going to be a tenth or two faster.

The season is starting off very slow at least from what I have seen here. For me I've been trying to get to the strip for the past several weeks and it's been either a rain out or scheduled event keeping me from being able to run. I'm going to see if I can get oztiks to join this competition. He has already got a head start on us and the best time of the season with a 12.421@118.94mph.

I'm heading out to the strip (Rockingham, NC) on the 15th. I may hit some 1/8 mile runs to see how the car hooks before then.

Is it $20.00 again?

I'm willing to bump it up to $25 or more, but that's Toothdoc's call since he is organizing this.

Oztiks is in... HKS are you in? I think we'll just keep it 20$ this year. Maybe next year we'll bump it. For me, it's really just a "donation" to anybody willing to push the IS-F faster and faster. I don't think I'll get anything better than 12.35 if all the stars are aligned.

I went Friday evening and couldn't come close to hitting my 12.38 of last year. My best run was a 12.52@114mph. I was hoping with the 20+hp that it would knock a tenth or two off stock times, but it's looking more like half a tenth. DA was -44 but with 88% humidity and a direct 8+mph headwinds it just wasn't happening. I did however have a great time. I had some fun races against a 500whp Supra NA-T and SR20 240sx. Won both though the Supra was catching up nicely towards the end. So if a 12.35 is possible with all the stars aligned in relatively stock form I'm thinking 12.29 with exhaust and intake may be possible. Guess we'll see.

Here are two vids from Friday taken with a crappy Point and Shooter.
