anyone who has got curb rash... got a cheap solution!
hit my first curb last night.. and tried to fix it at lexus... they wouldnt just fix the rash.. but wanted to paint all 4 rims ..... anyways...
Went to discount advanced autoparts.. and found touchup paint
NS 00596
(nissan-brushed pewter CS3)
matches almost 100%... you can barely tell!
I woudnt recommed it if it was a HUGE gash.. but for curb rash.. very good...
all you have to do is get some auto sand paper.. sand the spot down.. wash the area.. and put that paint on... pretty amazing

I have repaired alloy wheels using this method in the past. If you use the right abrasives ( couple grades of fine sand paper, finished off with steel wool) it works out pretty well. However, it must be stated, don't do this on a cast alloy wheel. It wont work, and will screw up the wheel more than the curb rash. This method only works only on a forged alloy wheel. I HOPE I never have to do it on my Fs wheels. But, if I do it's nice to know the proper shade of paint to use.
