Default Your ride: how much / what year / etc.

I'm looking into purchasing an IS-F before the end of the summer but still find myself doing a bit of research as this would be my first Lexus.

What should I be looking at price-wise? More specifically, how many of you purchased used and if so, how many miles / how much down payment, etc etc.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Damn, that sounds like a pretty good deal to me man, congratulations. What year out of curiosity?

I'm having trouble finding anything used around my area for a good price so it looks like I'm going to have to go new regardless.

08, sorry I forgot to include that. I bought mine through an auto broker not through the dealer.

Another good deal - if only I wasn't east coasting it at the moment, I'd be all over something like that.

I've only been looking through Yahoo-Auto's at the moment for deals/sales around my general area, like I said, no luck. Where/who did you go through? Any links to brokers, etc would be much appreciated.

You got to be patient for the right car and look at all sources. I got mine in Cali and even with the plane ride (free courtesy of earned miles) and 850 mile trip back to WA, I still saved at least 4 grand from what was locally available in my area.

Have your money/financing ready to go so you can make a deal when you see one and then just do it.

Now is the best time to buy an F as most there are a number of them selling below book because of the deflated economy.

With the economy starting to turn around, I anticipate F prices to start going back to book.

For sure, thanks for the tips, definitely appreciated.

Like I mentioned, I'm definitely looking to pick up an F before the end of the summer, so sooner rather than later.

Yeah, I've been using Yahoo-Auto's like I mentioned above, as well as cars.com and autotrader.com - no luck yet, I'm patient however so we'll see.
