Teaser better pics to come.
Just a quick shot of an upgrade I did recently. I will post better pics once she is cleaned.
Blackout headlights:
My original headlights were getting moisture in them, I noticed several brackets were broken off, and a small hole was created from one of the broken brackets. Instead of forking out tons of money on the 2011 LED headlights. I purchased a set of oem HID AFS headlights from a CL member (thanks jhong28). I had him send them over to 4ae Auto Design for the paint. Thanks Peter.
Since the lights did not include the ballast, I had to switch out mine. What a PITA (pain in the a%$) at first. I did not know how to remove the ballast and plug without opening up the headlights since it would not fit. Reading on CL forums, I found out how to easily take apart the connector that attaches to the bulb. You can easily pry off the metal surround, then easily take off the plastic cover. This leaves the 2 wires (red & white), with a small flat head you can pull these both out, and slip them through the housing.
For 1/3 price I get black housing headlights, sure no LED but my AFS light doesn't come on.
Like I said I will post better pics once I get a wash and the sun comes out.
