Broken fog light
I discovered that one of my fog lights has been broken. I am guessing from a rock or something. But the bulb is shattered and so is the lens cover. There is however no damage to the plastic housing or surrounding area.
I went to Lexus and they are going to charge me $430 to replace it. I know I can get it for far cheaper from Sewell online and do it myself, but I am unable to find any threads with a how to. I don't want to mess it up and break something just trying to figure it out.
Does anyone have a link to a how to or can give me some direction?
Thanks

You do not need to remove the bumper to do this and can reach the insides by accessing through the fender liners. Then removing the overlay covers in front and the light is usually held in place by a single screw from the inside.
Fender liner access
Pull off front covers (be carefull as the drivers side usually has a wire harness attached to the cover prong) inspect first through fender liner
Front view with fog covers removed
View through fender liner with screwdriver removing the single screw
The fog lights used in the ISF, are also the same parts used in a 2010 and up Camry, as well as some other models.
They sell all kinds of replacement fog light housings on-line (be selctive as they offer both plastic and glass housings at the 60 to 100 price points (for a set of 2) at a fraction of the cost of the OEM ones.
Just saying there is options to a 400 purchase for one.

MSRP is approx $160 each... You should be able to find the OEM part online for approx $117.. each
Shared with Lexus, Toyota's & Scion's

I've had to replace one also I accessed mine through the fender liner, as explained above. However, I did not remove the front shrouds. The light assy was held in by only one screw, and I was able to remove it from behind. My wife's ES has plastic lenses on her fogs, not glass like the F. I asked the parts guy about this, and he said the round ones are glass and the oval ones are plastic.
I paid $117.66 for mine, not really, I used some of my Lexus points, so I got them for nothing They are in a vulnerable place, and the glass lens seems like a mistake. BTW, mine was the passengers side.
The next week I helped a friend replace the bulbs in his, both sides, whiter color bulb. and we accessed both from the back. In the daylight his bulbs appeared no whiter than mine and they looked dimmer. I'll keep the stock bulbs.

Mine too is the passenger side. The only thing that is broken is the lens and the bulb. I would like to get only those two if possible thinking that it may be cheaper, but it seems that I am only able to get it as a kit or set. Still 160$ is far better than 430$
