Hey all,

I saw this 2008 USB ISF with ~62k miles selling for $38,992 (was listed around $42k a few days ago) listed at University Audi in Seattle, Wa. It looks completely stock and the dealer is only about 20 minutes away so I'll probably go check it out this weekend. I wanted to figure out if the previous owner is on the boards and to find out detailed information regarding it. From the Carfax, it's had 2 previous owners, first was a lease and second was personal, both owned in Washington. It's been consistently serviced at Lexus of Bellevue and was sold at Lexus of Bellevue on 1/31/2011 as a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle and all tires were replaced on 1/31/2011 (about 12k miles ago).

I'm seriously considering this as it looks like it's in great condition and at a decent price (definitely affordable without breaking the bank). I'll definitely negotiate the price as i'm not new to buying/selling cars. My immediate concerns are that it is out of warranty and I don't see any brake services in the maintenance report. I will be trading in my 06 IS350 w/ ~77k miles on it and financing the rest, if that makes any difference. I'm really considering the 2011 ISF as i've already test drove it a couple months ago and feels ridiculously awesome. I love the redesigned tachometer/speedometer loo, the new suspension setup, and the LSD however I can't afford it for another year or two

Are there other things that i should consider when going to look at the vehicle? I have not test driven a 2008-2010 ISF yet, only a 2011 ISF. I will be asking to view the car inspection report when it was traded in and to test drive it as well.

Is this a decent deal, if i was to get it for like $36k? Let me know what you guys think. Thanks!!

At 62K miles, $38,992 is too much. Price should be like around $35K.

Also, not only the brakes, but I believe a valve adjustment is needed at 50K, if I am not mistaken.

Lexus cars are proven to last a long time, given that all maintenance has been done. I would check for things like nicks and dings and use that to negotiate. If brakes haven't been changed, use that.

When checking out the car you can press DISP on the steering wheel and then look at the dash to see the avg MPG for the life of the car.. should say AVG... this will tell you if the previous owner(s) beat on the car. When I bought mine with 16K, my avg MPG was 14... I assume the prev owner drove it hard....now it reads almost 18.

...Or be patient and look for something with less mileage. The likeliness of problems occurring will be less. I have always been a fan of cars with low mileage and 1-owner... it just gives me peace of mind.

Thanks for the replies. I'll definitely go check it out if i get a chance today or this weekend.

There's also this 08 Black ISF with 45.5k miles at Definitive Motors in Bellevue, about 25 minutes drive. I just called the dealership and was told it had lots of mods on it (wheels, lowered, intake, cf trunk, etc...) and is still going through the inspection/reconditioning process as they just got it in a couple days ago. He said it'll probably be priced approx $42-43k but he won't know until it's ready (~ in a week). It was sold as Certified Pre-Owned at Lexus of New Port Beach, CA last month so it must be in excellent condition. What do you guys think?

^ Skip any modded F from a dealer. For some strange reason, they always seem to inflate the price by summing up the total price and then adding that to the their price of the F. It's like noobs summing up total hp gains from each bolt-on. $43k for an 08 with 45.5k miles? They're smoking. I got my 09 with12k miles for $44k.

Stay away from modded Fs, as the rule of thumb is that it might not have much fun left in it.....lol.

^True. PurduePete helped me shop for my car as well... I got mine bone stock. If anything, mods bring down the value of the car. Keep looking but be patient...ISF's are rare cars... as always keep us updated and we'll help out

Update: I went to test drive the blue ISF, it's pretty clean, in awesome condition and the front rotors/brakes were just replaced last week. The 2008 ISF is actually very smooth and the suspension was even softer/smoother than my current IS350 with the sport package suspension. I was expecting total jaw breaker on the stiff 2008-2010 ISF's as they're known for but it was super smooth, comparable to the 2011 ISF that I test drove a couple months ago.

They wouldn't go below $38k so I had to pass. I offered $34k, then up to $34.5k LOL but they wouldn't bite. They offered $18k for my 06 IS350 with 78k miles. On to the next!

Did you leave your name and #? If it sits for a couple days/weeks they'll call you back with a lower number If your trading in your IS350 dealers are a lot more accepting of increasing your trade-in value instead of decreasing the sale price,.. not sure why, maybe shows better profits

Hey everyone, i'm back at it again and will probably pass on the 08 USB ISF with 62k miles, they're stuck around $38k. The sales guy has called me numerous times to come in and talk numbers again but they won't go much less than $38k, maybe $37,400ish. I already offered $34,500 and they passed.

I went to go look at the 08 Black ISF earlier today and it's super clean. I love how it looks and it sounds like a beast with the custom magnaflow exhaust and K&N intake (I looked under the hood and the exhaust). It's fully loaded with ML, sensors/parking assist and everything else.

It is over priced at $44k with 45.5k miles sitting on it so i'll work with the sales guy, although they say their cars are aggressively priced to sell, so we'll see... They put new tires on it. Front pads are almost new, rear pads are still good from the Inspection Report (but i'll have to look at it again). Current warranty is valid for another 4.5k miles or 5 months (i want to buy extended warranty before it expires). Clean carfax and service records are documented. It was listed as Certified Pre-Owned by Lexus of Newport, CA last month (04/27/2012) so it must be in excellent condition considering it was CPO'd and no one bought it, so it was auctioned off and this dealer in Bellevue, WA picked it up.

KBB values it at around $44k with 45,500 miles and the loaded options. Now that price is for a stock car, so since this has lots of aftermarket parts, we all know that mods lower the value of the car but the dealer won't say that and will try to convince you otherwise.

I know I should stay away from modded cars but this one looks and sounds awesome, LOL. I'll most likely go test drive it tomorrow to get a better feeling of how it handles and whatnot. If I really like it, i'll take it down the street to Lexus of Bellevue (2 blocks away) to have it thoroughly inspected before doing anything else. What do you guys think??

The 08 black ISF with modded exhaust was CPO'd? I didn't think Lexus CPO'd modded cars.

First off, i wouldn't use KBB. Their prices are way inflated. Look at Edmunds- they have more accurate values for cars by region.

That price seems way off to me.

The 2008 with 45k miles is worth 38k. There is no way they are going to price it right, so don't even bother with it.
