Default BORLA CatBack Installed ..... puzzled :( HELP

I just had my Borla Catback Installed today.

I am puzzled about the result. Honestly .... I HATE IT.
The car doesn't sound right, very loud and drony at the low RPMs.
Also, It feels like the car lost some of its PUNCH
It kind of feels like the car is not in the right geat or shifting late in AUTO mode.

I am aware that every exhaust needs to settle little bit, but I am very concerned.
Anyone has experieced anything like this with Borla CatBack?

Any possible instalation shortcomings I might not be aware of?

Not much help but I have a Borla, I took out the resonator and now I love it lol. It never really droned at all for me and still doesn't unless I am going up a steep hill. On the highway it was pretty quiet for me. Then again I came from the Subaru world prior to getting my ISF.. I upgraded my headers at the same time of the exhaust install so I can't say much on this loss of punch sensation.

I'm not sure, but maybe you should give it another week. Maybe the car is learning how to drive with the new exhaust.

Those symptoms seems to point to an exhaust leak

I had the opposite results after my borla install. Car sounded 100x better, not too loud and not too quiet, perfect for daily use since I commute everyday with the F. Car was also more responsive right off the line, drone was minimal to none. Did you do the install yourself or have a shop do it?

^^^^^^. I had a shop do it under my supervision :-)

Update: My anxious me, I drove the car a few times since,
the car feels better and better every time.
I think the ECU Is slowly adjusting to the new mod.
It is over 90° temperature here, it might explain the loss of punch.
Fingers crossed, still open hearing more advice or feedback from any of you.

maybe you over torqued the joints and now there's a leak? there's going to be a little more drone but not too bad. in terms of the car's "punch," my car felt as good if not slightly better right after install.

You did reset the ECU after the install, right?

No I have not, should I reset it now? Seems like the car is settling itself.

It could very well be ECU learning and adjusting to your new added power Hope everything works out bro!

^^^^^^^^
Does Borla CatBack go more quiet over time?

I am getting the venturis from Borla to tone down the drone if needed.
Anyone with an experience with these?
I read that they reduce the drone quite nicely,
Any drop in performance after the installation of these?

You can reset the ECU by disconnecting the negative terminal to your battery for a few minutes.

I would suggest you do this, it'll be the fastest way for your car to learn the new exhaust. Keep in mind you might have to reset your windows too
