I recently picked up my GFM 2008 IS250 AWD w/ 41k miles, base model for $26k (not including tax + interest on loan) from a local dealership in Seattle, WA.
Came with brand new tires and the wheels look new along with Clear bra on the front bumper/hood/fenders/mirrors/all door handles/rear bumper.
It may be a little over priced with 41k but i needed a car quick as i sold my STI and was left without a car to commute to work n around town.

MSRP is a totally made up price though... Out the door is useless too since taxes and fees vary greatly from one area to the next....always best to discuss pricing in terms of invoice.
A 2011 IS350 with F-sport, Nav, no other options has an invoice of $40,074.
(MSRP is only $44,850... so telling us 43.5k OTD doesn't help at all since we've no idea your taxes/fees... in NC for example a $40,000 car would only be about $41.5k "out the door" so 43.5k would be a horrible price for this car here... someplace with 10% sales tax plus TTL on top though it'd be a great price).
What's the actual price they want for the car?
$40,074 would be decent. Less would be ideal of course. Anything much north of that would be overpriced. (IMHO).

Good Price
What are your thoughts on this car?
$20,563 - 2007 IS250 AWD 57,255 miles CPO

What price would make this car 'great'? I'm willing to wait a bit for a good deal to come around.
I'll only be driving the car a 2-3 times a week, so a CPO around the 60k miles mark, that will give me 3 years of worry free driving is something I'm looking for. And hopefully many more years of worry free driving after the CPO warranty expires.

Pizzafan,
I got my silver/black 2007 IS250 X package for $21000 with 43k out the door with a $2,000 trade in (SC400). It still had 7K miles left on warrenty and about 1/2 year. After taxes/title is was $21,000. Taxes here are pretty high ($~1500) plus freaking $500 dock fee bull****.
Your deal sounds pretty good to me, but I drive way more than you do. I do about 750 miles a month.

hey all, ive been emailing dealerships around my area for a quote on a 2011 is350. i live within the 5 boros of NY. should i be asking for the cheapest price above invoice or do dealerships go below invoice?

As Kurtz pointed out above, you should be around invoice or below. It looks like there are several Lexus dealerships within a 50 mile radius of the five boroughs. If I were you, I'd start by emailing the Internet sales managers from at least three dealers (Manhattan, Queens, Long Island, etc.). With a little work, you should be able to get the car at the correct price. You should also check the site truecar.com to see what other people are paying in your area, and try to use the figures from there to your benefit.

thanks calmike! one of the internet sales rep told me he would sell me a special ordered is350 for $1,000 above invoice.... they were the best in helping me. i want to get the PREMIUM PACKAGE VALUE EDITION, the NAVI/MARK LEVINSON PREMIUM AUDIO PACKAGE, and SOME options of the LUXURY PLUS VALUE EDITION.

For example, memory seats aren't available unless you buy a package that includes them (which for 2011 is ONLY the luxury package... in previous years the old sport package had em too).
HIDs are standard on a 350 now I believe.
The mirror tilt thing is also exclusive to the Luxury package (or pre-2011 sport package).
So if that's important to you you'll have to get the Luxury package
Option breakdown is here:
http://www.lexus.com/models/IS/features/pricing.html
Only things that are "included" in one of the packages that are available outside that package are the rear spoiler and shift **** (which are included in the F-sport package) and the 18" wheels (which can come in the F-sport package or the Luxury w/wheels package).

2011 350 w/ F-Sport, Navi (non-ML), Rear Spoiler, Preferred Accessory pkg:
$41,200 in Atlanta (sales price before ttt)
KBB shows invoice at $40,519, so ~$700 over invoice.
Looks like I might could have done slightly better, but overall I am happy with the deal I got. You should have seen the first offer
