Smart Key Fob Programming
Does anyone know the instructions to Program our Key Fobs. I ordered one from Sewell and I thought instructions would be delivered as well, but I was wrong, and the site says
so any help ill appreciate
you may attempt to program your Lexus key yourself with the proper key programming instructions.

realistically, labor's only about 10-15 minutes to reprogram a key. my dealership does not charge people to get keys programmed unless it involves resetting the ecu or more. you plug in the comp, follow the directions, wait a bit and then its done.
good thing about smart keys is the remote gets programmed automatically as well. with other keys, such as keys for the rx, it involves a complex process of opening/shutting/locking/unlocking doors and pulling the key in and out of the ignition several times.

program another car with the same key?
FCC ID: HYQ14AAB
IC: 1551A-14AAB
DENSO
Or is there something on the key fob itself that limits this?

Hi I have a Camry Hybrid as well and if it is true that the smart key fob isn't programed, but the car is, then theoretically it should be possible to have the camry programmed to the same key? They both have the same spec:

We have an Avalon and the key fob has the same numbers also, I called both Toyota and Lexus and asked that exact question, if one key fob can be programmed for both cars, and they both told that it could screw up the system. If anyone knows more about this, please chime in.
