Default Rain-X or something else on 2IS?

Do you use anything on your windshield to break up rain? What do you use, and how do you like it?

Rain-X?

PPG Aquapel?

Something else?

I use Rain-X , original is best, the Wax lasts longer but is a pain to put on, the inside Anti-fog works but leaves a thick film

i use rain x on my parents cars cuz they don't wash their cars very often and it works pretty well for the first couple months.

I used to use Glaco .

now all i do is use gunk window cleaner inside and out every few months and it works just as good as rain-x

Lance, WAX your windshield. NO joke either. Everytime I do a polish on my car I also will clay the windshield. Then when I am putting wax on my car I will hit the windshield. I dont even need windshield wipers for a month or so after that. Even spray wax such as Aquawax by duragloss will do the job.

If you want super clear glass on another note you can do as I said above and clay it, or get glass polish. Clay is cheaper and just as effective.

OH when i say wax, i mean carnuba for sure. Synthetics should work too, but I am old school when it comes to wax on my cars.

Rain X is not liked by those on autopia , but i have really read the threads why. Those guys get as carried away as the supraforums people. I read a small blurb they it creates marring that is a pain to get off.

I use Rejex all over; windows, paint, chrome and wheels. Works like a charm.

I had my interior windows freeze on the inside of my first car when I was 16 and FogX first came out. It was quite the chore to remove this crap product, I would steer clear. RainX seemed to work well on the front windshield only.

Rain-X does not last if you wash your car often.
I found myself reapplying every two or three weeks since it would not survive my next wash cycle.

Have been using Rain-X for the past few years, great product. Although I would agree with a few others that it is kind of a paint to apply (buffing the haze out after application), but it works great.

Actually I use Ultimate Quik Detailer. Although I know it's supposed to be used to wipe down your car, it works like nxt 2.0 wax to give it water protection. So I tried it on my windows to clean up some watermarks and ever since then I've used it on my windows. I had rain-x too but I lost the bottle and never bought one ever again when I found out the quik detailer works.

though i may suggest to buy rain-x, apply it on and use rain-x washer fluid as well. couldn't hurt to have extra protection
