ehh it wasn't meant to be a quick car anyway. what's good to know is that it handles really good. i don't even know why they even made the quick shifter, because all a short shifter does is shorten the throw... meaning the distance of moving from one gear to the next. the throw isnt the problem with the slow shifting. it's the damn super heavy clutch/flywheel that makes shifting so slow. sure the fsport clutch may be a bit stronger, but what we really need is a lightweight flywheel for better response and acceleration.
but anyway, it is nice to know that the sway bars, brakes, and wheels and tires are useful. the exhaust and intake we can get from PTS/JoeZ. at least they have proven gains.
No doubt, but Lexus might alienate it's core customer base if they went that direction. Hopefully a gradual change will work better.
I think you're right, and dealerships at least in my area say there is no market for this type of Lexus. I called around to a few MA area Lexus dealers to see if they had an F-Sport equipped car or knew of a dealership that had one and none of the dealership people knew anything about "F" aside from IS-F.
I liked the article, as a 350 owner it was an easy read. Would be nice if someone tested an F-Sport 350 for once though! riceboytv I believe has a review with similar impressions posted on youtube.
