About to buy a GFX rear lip. My car is obsidian but they only have black onyx. Vendor claims that they are practically the same, very hard to see the difference.

I never see black onyx in person so cannot tell the difference. Any confirmation is appreciated. THANKS

I have obsidian GFX on my black onyx car.
Virtually can't tell the difference unless you're a few inches away (and I mean, a FEW. like half a foot).
Obsidian looks a little bit darker.

but 99% of people won't tell the difference.

You won't be able to tell the difference. I was in the same situation as you (Onyx kit on Obsidian car), and it all looks the same to me.

202 & 212 are almost identical i think the difference was a few more clear coats on the onyx to meet obsidian but it's all goood

202 and 212 are virtually identical. 202 is absolute pure black, while, 212 is black with a little bit of green and brown mixed in. The difference can't really be seen except in the most extreme, specific lighting conditions, and, even then, it's very difficult. I say, go for it.

I've got 06 Black Onyx car w/ Obsidian front lip & skirts. Can't tell the difference unless you are really close and try real hard. No problems either way.
